This painting was so fun to make! It feels like actual magic as an artist when you hit that flow state, no “labor” required.

I’ve been getting out of my comfort zone with color lately - and loving it. These abstract forests have become a study in saturation and shape, exploring bold color combinations that feel just right while still incorporating my favorite neutrals. #colorpalette #edmontonartist #acrylicpainter

Travel sketching ⛵️ I like the juxtaposition of the small detail in the lower quarter and the vastness of pink in the upper 3/4. Proportion is everything.

Vancouver Island is one of my favorite places in the world. I’ve been back many times, visiting family members and exploring: It offers expansive natural terrains, forests, and coastline. So much painting inspiration! #canadianmade #vancouverisland #forest #landscapepainting #femaleartist #canadian

An abstracted interpretation of the views at the top of the Wedgemount Lake hike in Garibaldi (close to Whistler, BC). #bcmountains #explorebc #landscapepainter #canadianartist #albertaartist #abstractlandscape

Monochromatic painting exercise: first I swatched out what tones and tints I could get with three options. Chose the phthalo green for its vibrancy!

I’m feeling really excited about where some of this new work is headed! I’ve been referencing my previous forestscapes and tree portraits as well as pushing myself to loosen even further, find more abstraction, and lean into new limited color palettes. The joy of constant discovery…

One of my favourite paintings this year. I started this 3 days before the Jasper wildfire started. The thing about fire is, it makes room for new growth, and after the fire is over you can see farther. Good reminders in this moment. #albertaart #painting #canadianart

Hey folks! Great to connect here outside of the “Zuckerverse”.😜 A bit about me: I am an intensely passionate creative who loves art and design. Residing in Alberta, Canada, I paint expressive landscapes with acrylic paint. I love both creating collections of work, and working on custom commissions.
