Two children’s picture book covers sitting side by side. The first cover is Jayden’s Impossible Garden with a smiling Black boy in the foreground, his arm up reaching for a bean growing on a vine and on the left, behind him, is an elderly Black man in a wheelchair holding a basket of vegetable on his lap and surrounded by foliage. The second is Jayden’s Impossible Garden with a young Black boy sitting next to gardening supplies and plants on a sidewalk, intently planting something in a pot. Both books are by Mélina Mangal and illustrated by Ken Daley, published by Free Spirit Publishing.

If you can, seek out nature, breathe deeply, be still and listen...and for a brief moment, the world doesn't feel so crazy. #nature #peace #redwoodtrees

I heard about a cool street in Sebastopol where a local artist couple has made incredibly quirky sculptures for every house on the block and I just had to see it. This fantastical art keeps me sane!
