Hello friends! The new update is here, a "lots of little things" update that adds encounter progression and NPC preferences, condoms/birth control, uncharacteristic action penalties, random dialogue framework, and gives some love to the bartender portion of the River Rat career, plus so much more!

Not that I should even have to say this, considering the nature of the game.. but I'd just like to reaffirm that the creator, devs, and moderators of Course of Temptation support LGBTQIA+. It's a game where you can be gay, bi, lesbian, trans, enby, ace, demi.. it's kind of obvious where we stand!

Our next major update will be early next month, because we wanted to make sure the Renewal Festival preparations were done before the holidays. We hope you're all looking forward to it! - F-K University Social Media Manager

Also, did you hear that the River Rat is accepting job applications now? We'd highly recommend checking it out! A lot of the administration likes to relax there, plus we've heard that the owner is very open to new ideas!

So we hope you all enjoyed your Renewal Festival celebrations at the end of Festember, and got lots of gifts! It's a good idea to look for opportunities to give gifts to others, too - and remember, now that you can put your birthday into Elkbook, you might been getting gifts then, too!

I drew the splash art illustration for the text-based life-sim “Course of Temptation”. Do you like inclusive and diverse college life sexy/awkward shenanigans? You should totes check it out: courseoftemptation.com

An illustration of a typically cute blonde college girl in a pink T-shirt, looking at the viewer with a worried smile, clutching a textbook to her chest with the words "Human Sexuality 101" on the cover. There are red brick college buildings with white trim in the background. In the top left corner there is a box with the words "Course of Temptation" in it.

Please excuse my word choice above - I really wanted to say "people of all sexualities, backgrounds, national origins, genders.." and then some but there's a character limit! The bottom line is.. we want to create an adult game that's also a safe space. Come join us!

Our discord has over 9.5k members now. That's incredible. We are all so happy that y'all love our little game so much. We've tried our best to make it both diverse AND sexy. We want people of all races, sexualities, and genders to always feel safe in our world. Here's looking forward to the future!

A screenshot of the basic information for the Course of Temptation game Discord server, showing 1.9k members online and a little over 9.5k members total.

The October update! We've added the first seasonal event, Harvest Eve, taking place in the last week of Gourdtober! This event features costumes, masks, a party with two contests, and unique events. Improvements to the People dialog and extensions to the description system also feature.

To answer some questions: - Yes, this applies to games in progress! All your NPCs will gain a feature as soon as you load your save. - To add features to your character, turn on Cheats & "Allow NPC Customization", then go to Character -> Character Appearance -> Re-customize

Time for a quick update preview! The next update will include a small tweak to NPCs - Distinguishing Features. Every NPC will get something small that stands out about their appearance, from a cute button nose to a pointed chin and more, and you can choose as many "features" as you like for your PC!

So we recently mentioned Gourdtober, but what about the other months? Well, Course of Temptation has seven months of four weeks each - that's 196 days a year to flirt, hook up, work, stream, party, and occasionally actually study and take classes.
