Bedtime Fairy Tales, Vol. 1 3.5/5 I like it, and I like where it's going. It's exactly my niche, but it still feels like it's missing some things between the time skips. It's still silly and enjoyable. Feels like if they made Stephen Sommers' Van Helsing a BL. That kind of vibe.

Everything about this was *great*. It felt great, it sounded great, it *LOOKED* great. Overall it was very enjoyable. I'd definitely recommend giving the 2026 version a go.

My only complaint, which is honestly super minor, was that certain info-text that was subtitled went by too quickly at times. And just to clarify, I watched this in the Eng Dubbing (which was also phenomenal btw). But I mean like certain little text box that give context and whatnot to things just wasn't on the screen for as long as it needed to be. Pausing definitely helps, so its not like it was a huge deal breaker.

But yea, just over all this series really filled a spot.

Mothkeep 4/5 Literally just a cozy game about filling out a journal of different moths. Educational, simple, and relaxing. Not only is there a shop cat, but also its a game about moths and their life stages. Would recommend for those who want a short, mindless game about how cool moths are.

Roses and Champagne, Vol.4 3.5/5 I'm a bit surprised this was only 4 vols, and while the ending was still nice, Vol. 4 felt like it was missing something. Still, I enjoyed this more than some other series, but it really felt like there should've been more.

First time baking an Apple Crumb Pie with Johnathan Red Apples. Normally I make them with Granny Smiths, but the Johnathan Reds held the pie together really well! They make a thicker syrup that probably makes them more ideal for jams and jelly, but they have an excellent flavor for pies! ✨

99.9% certain it got broken in transit to Yiggy, but you can't really see it because of how small it is, and I was still able to piece it together ok regardless. A little glue on a toothpick will fix it right up if it does break off. Its still quite pretty. 💕

Wild Love: A BL Guide to the Animal Kingdom. 4/5 Took a bit to read this due to the size and just life in general, but it was fun. This would've made early college Zoologist era me quite happy. Genuinely I'd like more content like this - in an educational and silly way.

Wild Love manga. It has the penguin couple, snail couple, fish couple, elephant seal couple, giraffe couple, and dolphin couple on it. I won't go into depth of their appearance due to text limit size, but from top left to right: the penguin couple is holding a bucket of popcorn, and the larger one has his arm over the smaller one. Kamisama Kiss, S1-2 + OVAs 4.5/5 What a comfortable anime. My partner wanted to watch this for a while because they knew I'd love Tomoe (they were correct), but the whole series just really filled a spot in the best way possible. Idk how else to describe it other than it just felt good.

Pathological Lovers, Vol.1 4/5 Of the Rosmei manhua I've read, this one feels comfortable. The pacing, while fast, is steady, and being a supernatural-esq crime solver its quick to throw readers into the thick of the plot with questions. Crime solving duo; little more in alt text.

Sunshine in Hades, Vol.1 4/5 The art was rough at some points (sketch-like instead of clean), and it's hard to tell if volume 2 will be fully uncensored or not. It has some spicy slow burn going, and overall I like the story enough to want Vol.2. Virgin puppy top gladiator X powerbottom priest.

I Think Our Son Is Gay, Vol. 3&4 4/5 I forgot I still hadn't finished this series, but it's still just as wholesome as I remember. It's really nice to see a mother doing all she can to support her children because she wants them to be themselves and be happy.

For anyone curious, here was my full review. I genuinely think Cezhou has set the bar high for me, but I'm a sucker for characters with unwavering devotion.

Full GRs Review: Part 1/4

I didn't write a review for Vol.7, but going into Vol.8 I still have nothing but good things to say despite some smaller, minor complaints. You can absolutely love a series thoroughly and still have some complaints, so I will make that clear, as this series I hold very near and dear. Over the last two years this has been the thing that has kept me going, constantly feeding off of every interaction Cezhou has like its water for my crops. Watching them grow up, and then conquer the obstacles before them just to get their wishes granted in the end - it has been a wonderful ride. I'm a little emotional its finally over.

If 7S decided to do up hardcover copies of this, I would absolutely buy them without question. And imo, I do feel like this series is deserving of the HC treatment.

Below I will list out the pros and cons, but be warned there may be slight spoilers. So read at your own discretion. I can't think of too many cons, so some of them might be "probable" more than anything.

Pros:
- Character Map; I think my favorite thing 7S included in this was the map of Alliances for the characters. I agree with a friend on this: I truly wish they would've included this earlier on in the series. Between this and the careful list of characters in the back, it made remembering who was what and what was going on much easier to straighten out - though at times I did need to resort to google.
- Characterization; Despite being politically heavy, I still feel this series was handled very well. All the characters are so lively, their banter delightful, and their personalities fleshed out. Even the antagonist don't seem all that much like antagonist. Everyone feels human, because that's exactly what they are. This is a story of war, so naturally this is how it should feel.

Full GRs Review: Part 2/4
-LGBTQ+; This is a danmei, so naturally there is queer love. I wanted to include this not just because its mlm, but this series has had some of the funniest coming out scenes I've ever read to date. There are multiple queer relationships in this, and they've all been beautifully handled. I still think back to Xiao Chiye coming out to his dad a few books back, and I think on it quite fondly. Xiao Chiye certainly has some poor luck when it comes to this, but it always works out in his favor. Other tasteful bonuses include: the power lesbian couple (Qi Zhuyin and her LI) and Qiao Tianya and his LI. I had Qiao Tianya's relationship spoiled for me some two years back when I first started reading the series, so I won't touch on it, but goddamn do I wish they got something more because they deserved happiness too. In the end, it made sense, but that pain is going to stick for a while with me.
- The Overall Writing and Translation; I never read any of the fan translations to this, nor can I read the original source. However, I believe this translation was handled quite well. It flowed very smooth. There were some parts that were slow to build, but then the next thing you knew there was a landslide sweeping you through to the end. The entire series was like this in the best way possible, and never did it feel like there were any parts that were unnecessary. Everything felt like a satisfying puzzle being put together that brought us to a beautiful ending.
- Cezhou; Look. I've got standards when it comes to relationships in prose, and the way that Xiao Chiye practically worships Shen Zechuan has not only set my bar, but had me hooked. They were the reason I kept reading, because every interaction they had made my heart flutter, giggle, and kick my feet. The constant devotion and tenderness, the mischief, the longing. Everything about what they had felt so real and soft. Xiao Chiye, you really are a henpecked husband. Let your wife bully you some more.

Full GRs Review, Part 3/4
- THE ART; the overall art and illustrations for this have absolutely watered my crops. It's all so beautiful.

Cons, probably:
- Politically heavy; I'm sure I've said this a few times, and because it is politically heavy with a large cast, despite how well that gets handled, I can absolutely understand why that steers some people away. I personally do not like politically heavy things, yet the characters and their interactions are what pulled me in, so I honestly didn't mind all the on goings. I would still suggest giving the first volume a try. :)
- Time Skips???; There are a lot of time skips throughout the series. It's not a huge deal breaker, but for some it might be as it could lead to some confusion as far as pacing goes or with regards to characters' ages or even the animals surrounding them. Despite this, I felt like they were handled well because there was never anything unnecessary included, nor was there lagging with the progression of the story. The worst of it, it could leave readers with some questions about if something more happened. For that, I say take to ao3 and let your imagination run wild.
- Character Deaths; This is a war-heavy story, so just like with Gundam, be prepared for characters you might like to die at some point. That's all I'll say on that.
- Large Cast; As mentioned a few times before, this series does have a large cast, and because of that a lot of minor characters you may like might not get the interactions you'd like. This is normal, but as a reminder, this story revolves around Cezhou.

Full GRs Review, Part 4/4
Overall:
I can't think of many cons with this, but as far as the plot goes I was hoping for something more with some of the side characters and the young empress there towards the end, and I was a little bit disappointed with Qi Zhuyin's under-usage at times with regards to some political points. But with regards to the journey Cezhou went on to bring about their dreams and happiness, it was a journey worth experiencing. This series stays very close to my heart, and I hope everyone can give it a chance. I feel like Xiao Chiye is a LI many folks should experience, and I love that Shen Zechuan was no pushover despite his disabilities and illness. To see this powercouple grow, I really am sad the story is over. :) But what an absolute story of struggle, growth, and devotion this ended up being.

A two year journey and I've finally finished the main story. I will be thinking of my review carefully as I progress through the extras, but I'm genuinely glad this was the story that brought me into danmei. I held onto hope at the beginning, due to some art inside the book, but tears don't lie.

QJJ Vol. 7 5/5 Definitely the heaviest in regard to the political stuff imo, and there were a few times I had to look up who was who because I forgot, but this was still a very enjoyable read. I love this series dearly, and hope to meet many more who do too. Im ready for the final volume now!! ✨

Trying something sorta new tonight. From a Mediterranean Slow cooker Cookbook I have. Its fairly simple, so it shouldn't taste too different from the pizza boats I make. :3

Layered Zucchini casserole. It uses 4 medium zucchini sliced, 1 bell pepper sliced, one onion sliced (calls for red onion, but I prefer sweet onion/yellow onion) and a cam of diced tomatoes. It's then srasoned with salt, pepper and basil, slow cooked for 3 hours,then you add cheese and light olive oil on top and slow cook for another 90 minutes. I added mushrooms to mine to help with a bit of moisture.

Big Apple Vol. 6 3.5/5 I like that this had a happy ending, but this volume held a fair bit of complaints I'll keep in the Alt text. I'd say over all, this series sits at about a 3.75/5 for me due to the last few volumes. I can't say if recommend unless you just want smut.

The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity, Vols. 11, 12 4/5 A nice continuation to the series, and I like that it's pushing them more towards adult life. However I did have a minor complaint about one small part feeling irrelevant, but it was still handled positively. So for that, I forgive it.

Tbf most of Abel's style was pulled from my own wardrobe at the time, so it tracks. Whereas Ren's was to combat my dysphoria, and Count's was to suit my taste.

Did I forget to mention Ren also loves books? I gave him all my best traits. 😌✨ Who wouldn't love a guy that would worship you, who is stronk, great with kids, loves to paint and read, and overall is gentle but protective?? Someone who asks how your day was, and let's you yap about your passions while holding you???

OK, I gave him most of my good traits. I'm obvi not great with kids and can't paint at his level, but that's what writing is for. At least my penmanship is canonically better than his.😤
