Canada wouldn't be the 51st state. It would be the 51st to 63rd ststes minimum. Canada has 10 provinces and 3 districts. Each of them would be a state. They are so large they would probably be split into two. That's 26 new states. Each state has 2 senators. That's 52 Canadian senators in Congress.

Thousands had their insurance cancelled due to wildfire risk. In Florida, they cancelled insurance for hurricane damage. This is a cost of global warming, and it can happen every year. We will still have to tackle global warming. This is just a cost people didn't need to pay.
