I've been living in the Balkans for 6 months now. I want to come home, but I can't because-- obviously. I've tried to learn #Slovenian, #Serbian and #Bosnian. Now I'm in Sarajevo, and my hosts are the kindest people I've ever met. They make me traditional Bosnian breakfasts. What a beautiful place.

I see that it's on display at the Grand Mayan Museum (I'd love to go there one day!). I found an alternate angle with photo credit. I don't know if it's possible to know exactly what deity it is. I also found that it belongs to the Cacaopera (aka Matagalpa or Ulúa peoples) culture.

This weaponized AI slop cost me 24 cents.

Wondering if this triggers anti-AI reactionaries... I write fantasy and draw my own stuff. Few years ago my tenement toilet regurgitated rancid water all over my sketchbooks. I tried to save drawings using GIMP. As an experiment, I also tried using Nano Banana to fix some of the drawings too.

Totally off topic: I went down a rabbit hole trying to find ancient sling stones, as I'd read they were often marked. Hilites: #3 ""PETO LANDICAM FVLVIAE" = "I seek Fulvia's clitoris." This is one of the best-documented obscene sling bullets from the siege, aimed as a sexual insult at Fulvia.

The relief looks like a child being fit with a helmet. I wonder if this was a personal touch for this gladiator, like something about their story, or a comment on the fact that some of these warriors were raised from early childhood to fight? so cool.

...but wait... I must have said that wrong, because hummingbirds are new world creatures and this is a photo of a bunch of red flowers here in Serbia from where I sit and drink beer... the red blind part is true though I swear!

Yes! Here we see it "in action" as part of the Dendra Panoply. A bonus is you get to say "panoply."

Posing for my next album, a compilation of anti-capitalist ads in the spirit of Ween, Tim & Eric and Reeves & Mortimer.

I think the owl symbolizes Athena. When Athens controlled everything, owls were all over the money.

I stopped trying to be nice 10 years ago. I used to have tons of Republican friends. By the by, here's the cover of my next record.
