Barron’s: “Even High Earners Are Living Paycheck to Paycheck: Why $300,000 Isn’t Enough Anymore” ↓
Barron’s:
Rising costs could certainly factor in the share of respondents who said they are just getting by and generally unable to save for longterm goals. By income band, the largest share of respondents who described themselves as living paycheck to paycheck was those earning less than $50,000 a year, at 61%. Among respondents earning between $50,000 and $ 100,000 and those earning between $300,000 and $500,000, 34% said they live paycheck to paycheck. And of workers making more than $500,000 a year, 37% said they are living paycheck to paycheck, the highest of any segment except the very lowest earners. According to the survey, 36% of respondents who earn $300,000 or more aren't meaningfully saving.

“Designed around a very clever 30° tilt, this Tilted Watch Band puts the Apple Watch at a slight slant, so it’s facing you even when your wrist isn’t. Normal protocol is to lift your wrist up perfectly horizontal, so the screen faces you in the right orientation. Tilt the band and you don’t have to make your wrist horizontal anymore – just hold it at a comfortable angle and the Watch screen faces you a lot more naturally, letting you read the time without flexing your hand or your neck too much… perfect for joggers or bikers who don’t have the luxury to orient their hands while mid-activity.”“Designed around a very clever 30° tilt, this Tilted Watch Band puts the Apple Watch at a slight slant, so it’s facing you even when your wrist isn’t. A little nomenclature story…of Amazon.com Inc. ↓
Originally, Bezos had his heart set on the name Cadabra, a play on the word abracadabra. He initially incorporated the company in Washington under the name Cadabra Inc. But the company's first lawyer, Todd Tarbert, intervened, pointing out that the name sounded too similar to cadaver over the phone.

Next, it was named Relentless.com, which still redirects you to Amazon, but that didn't stick. After registering domain names like Awake.com, Browse.com and Bookmall.com, Bezos began scouring the A section of the dictionary for inspiration. Back in the 1990s websites were alphabetized so he knew he needed the name to begin with the letter A. It was there that he came upon the word Amazon, which he felt was fitting because it referred to the largest river on Earth and perfectly represented the scale of his ambitions. The company officially became Amazon.com Inc.

What if high school students didn't apply to colleges, but colleges applied to students? It's happening, apparently. ↓
THE WALL STREET JOURNAL:

Hundreds of Colleges Are Sending Acceptance Letters to Kids Who Didn't Even Apply
More schools offer direct admissions as the pipeline of applicants dwindles \

Hundreds of colleges are sending students letters of admission-without even requiring an application.
Schools are increasingly agreeing to admit students based on a handful of criteria, like high school transcripts. Known as "direct admissions," this expedited process is free and omits required essays, questions about extracurriculars and mandated standardized tests. \

In turn, the colleges- which are seeking ways to attract more students amid broader financial headwinds-gain exposure to prospects who may never have heard of them otherwise. They then woo the young people into enrolling.
