ahah you had me wondering on which book I gave up because that sounded similar. So I went to check on my libraries's history and my latest "wheel of time" reservation was for the 7th. I gave up when I realized I had read 2x the length of the lord of the rings and didnt have much to show for it.

I do a lot of coding in "agent mode". It gets a lot wrong, but in the end it is able to see the output from its initial "garbage code" and fix it. So overall I only see the end result, which is good and impressive. But as soon as I try the LLM for something outside code.. man are they wrong! :)

The "20$" Power Macintosh 8100/100AV boots and has video! ... and it keeps costing more lol. So far I got a 10$ "MAC to vga" adapter and a 10$ "1/2AA" PRAM battery Now I need to put my hands on a CD-R and burn Mac OS 7.5 :) If that works, I'll be looking for a keyboard, mouse and bluescsi.

I hate my Nissan Leaf 2020. It's the second time in a month it left me stranded for a made-up reason. #1 red "Service EV System Error".I lost power on a boulevard and had to coast to safety. It was a "dead" 3yo 12V battery. #2 Can't drive because"the doors are open". They aren't. It was corrosion.

I am taking over a report that currently wrangles the 5 millions of rows : **90 minutes** when using dplyr starting from a .rds file **72 seconds** when using duckdb + dbplyr from a parquet file. There's probably room for optimising the dplyrworkflow, but "let's try {duckdb+ dbplyr} worked.

nice! Air France ended up paying my family 9600$ after they took off the Quebec-Paris plane at 2AM after we boarded it. They didnt have enough meals. The plane took off without us and ~40 other people and we got to our destination 2 days later.

thanks! Now I remember that exact image from reading the r4ds book years ago, guess it bit me until now! I had just written a for loop that compared the sums of all the columns in two supposedly identical data frames just for a quick test and I was surprised that one had a sum of "nearly 0".
