ピクサーが制作を止めたと話題になってた「BeFri」、キャラデザ見たらすげー良さそう、というかモロに『スティーブン・ユニバース』の流れを継ぐルックで、普通に現代のオタク環境にも刺さりそうな感じだけどな。そしてピクサーが「こういうガールズパワー＆友情ものはニッチだしウケない」と打ち切った脇で『K-POPデーモンハンター』が地球に激震おこしてるのは相当おもろい

欧米の先鋭的なアニメとかが、いわゆる美少女やイケメンでない、従来的な美の基準からはみ出すようなキャラクターデザインに挑戦してるのは明白で、もちろん実現したりしなかったり、ヒットしたりハズしたりはするだろうけど、重要なのは挑戦をずっと続けてノウハウを蓄積してるということで、そういうのを「美少女作ればいいのに笑」とか侮ってると決定的かつ致命的な彼我の差となって取り返しつかなくなると思う。これは日本に限らなくて、たとえば中国のアークナイツや羅小黒戦記のキャラデザとかも好きだけど、それでさえも日本と共通する「従来的な美（男女問わず）」の枠組みという、デカ強な縛りの中で頑張って幅を出してる感じはするし
