About 30,000 autistic ppl in the UK have Type 2 Diabetes, aren't on insulin, & use wearable monitors (CGMs). These save lives for those who don't spot low-sugar events / can't cope with endless painful finger prick tests each day etc. The NHS has removed funding. Now, have to pay ~ £1500/yr. /

Written by two neurodivergent resratchers, this letter was just published in the peer reviewed journal, “Women’s Health.” It speaks to the gaps in research on Autistic Menopause and offers direction (in the form of seven priorities) as to what questions researchers should focus on moving forward.

Still waiting for an #APPGA on older #autistic pple. Because the Govt & NAS still ignore our existence, older autistic pple get no statutory provision in older pple's services, retirement homes, hospitals, day care centres, etc. No commissioners & no budget stream. It's State imposed #discrimination

I queued to renew my Railcard for 30mins + in todays heatwave, as @networkrail.bsky.social only put 2 staff in the ticket office at #Newcastle Central Station. I complained at the Management Office, to a grinning man, who told me he'd made a note of my complaint, on his clearly blank notepad.

I'm tired of @england.nhs.uk #discrimination against those of us who choose not to use smart tech or who are unable to use / afford it. NHS Apps create #healthexclusion. I have a hospital appt next month & I don't know why, as the letter is on an App. Now this latest: www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

#Barclays Bank emailed me for feedback on how they dealt with a recent #fraud on my account. What account? I don't bank with Barclays. They don't read email replies. Their website Bot requires my reply to fit their list. Is this a scam, or just a rubbish bank?

Contracts exchanged today, so next week I leave Norwich & relocate to Gosforth, Newcastle. The buying & selling has been #autistic hell & packing a house alone has taken weeks. But it's worth it to be closer to my sisters. And oh, the landscape! A big city, a big river & beautiful hills!

The #RoyalMail #ParcelForce website has recently made accessing it's 📦collection service preferences impossible for those of us who can't use Apps. It says it does, but the links lead back to 'Use the App'. Microsoft does not support Google Play, so Royal Mail has updated to inaccessibility for me.

Despite all the publicity about parcel deliveries, yesterday am, #RoyalMail dumped a 'tracked' parcel behind my bins in the front garden - I was home - no knock & no note through door. Same again pm. #Amazon dumped a present there too. I saw the parcels from the street, as could anyone.

I emptied my study room, to redecorate. All my books & a chaos of 'stuff'. I'm going through every box, before re-shelving, getting rid of what I won't use again. I'm being ruthless. The process is cathartic. The room is peaceful now, & I can breathe better in there. #ADHD #AutisticElders #Autism
