An excellent test. I feel that the virtues I score lowest on show what I care about as much as the ones I score highest on.
The result of an Undertale personality quiz for soul virtues. Perseverance ranks highest at 90 percent. Kindness is next, at 82. Justice is at 82 as well. Bravery is at 88. Integrity is 66 percent. Determination is at 58, being just eight percent above the neutral score. Patience is way at the bottom, ranking at 28 percent.

Call me stubborn, but I would‘ve preferred humor to the serious-faced farce I saw when people thought my kidneys would kill me. And speaking of acknowledging but resisting death with art, there is a fine example, though not from a hospital. This is, I am told, from a public health building.

This proud homeowner was headed back into the tall grass after a rain earlier in the day, no doubt to continue its scheduled activities, which I imagine consist of eating and appreciating its palatial green surroundings, when I stopped and took a picture.

Entering Summer with a good shape! Normal capybaras, as everyone knows, occasionally turn green and photosynthesize. Drawn for me by the awesome @cadmiumtea.bsky.social
A large, round capybara-shaped plant. Mostly green with a little light brown. There are hints of fangs, and the tail is longer and more succulent than it should be. The capybara thing wears a bow tie made out of a cane toad. The toad looks mildly evil.

A fundamental misunderstanding of how social media works is that accounts grow by following people. I will absolutely block anyone who follows above ten thousand people. Get the heck out of here! You can’t possibly keep up with that much stuff! You gonna drink the oceans next?

The Spiral Tile. Every little bit is a large, square spiral, and they engulf and interconnect with each other to form four square shapes, like stylized eyes. Purples, reds, and pinks for this one. Felt inspired by those cool outfits you see in Star Trek: DS 9 and Roman tiles.
What I described in the post.

Behold, the Frogbuttrap.
A green, yellow-bellied horror with beady red eyes and enormous sharp, yellow teeth. Tiny limbs stick out from beneath it, and enormous flapping, boneless things stick out the side of its mouth. These barbels mimic a frog's legs best they can. A vaguely frog-like pattern of warts and copper-toned spots atop the monster help it blend into the swamp, its native habitat. Huge, bulbous eye-like protrusions on its behind complete the frog disguise, glowing red in the darkness.

Ring Galaxy. Another little thing from yours truly. I love drawing and writing, but there is something very calming about placing pixels and balancing symmetry and chaos. Made for @sugarstarvt.bsky.social !
A vast field of stars: reds, yellows, purples, whites, and blues. Great stylized clouds assembled into a symmetrical palace resembling the inner stars and clouds of gas within a ring galaxy.

Golden Cage, a pixel tile artwork where I experimented with shading exclusively. Thanks to that, the gold has a toxic glow, and the delicate lines are unbreakable bars to hell-mouths. Really happy with how creepy it turned out.
A complex pattern of cage-like mouths with eyes and nostrils, gold bricks, and swirls of cooling metal. The whole thing is assembled into a 'cage' spread out on the tile.A closer look at the gold brick tile. The central 'brick' is reminiscent of two prison doors, just open enough to suggest a dark cell beyond.A hell-mouth-only tile. Here, the hell-mouths form a cross leading away from the central square of sickly, swirling gold. The shine within the hell-mouths is easier to see. There are depths in the triangular maws, filled with teeth or stalactites.

My first experiment with creating tiles using pixels. All of this is just copy-paste and careful, pixel-by-pixel manipulation. Circuitry seems cold and distant at first glance, but the longer and closer you look, the more alive it becomes.
A tile of different blues, forming a light-blue net of interlocking squares. Four crosses mark the intersections of these squares around the middle of the tile.A tile of different blues, forming a light-blue net of interlocking squares. Four crosses mark the intersections of these squares around the middle of the tile. The tile is now repeated many, many times, until the picture seems to be an icy blue field of perfect lines and tiny markings, the hues blending together.

A painting @cadmiumtea.bsky.social made for me a while back. I dug it up from storage, and soon it will hang next to my other treasures! I love the Moomins. One of my favorite children’s lit/cosmic horror book series.
A painting of Snufkin from the Moomins sitting beside a campfire, in front of his humble tent. The nighttime forest closes in around him, dark leaves and tree trunks barely illuminated by the firelight. There are creatures around him, their glowing eyes looking out of the painting. And above, in the unfathomable night, a pair of lanterns look down, eyes so much bigger they appear to belong to the sky above the forest canopy.

Recently found @starsalts.bsky.social on here and remembered I got a Nope pin from her! Amazing movie, and an amazing little piece of art to celebrate it!
A large metal pin, gold in color. Enamel on top of it creates an image of the creature from Nope unfolding into its majestic abgel shape. Below, a silver outline of a horse rises into a blue sky, pulled into the monster. Blood rain forms curtains around the horse, suggesting the classic alien abduction beam. Below, a shoe is perfectly balanced atop a banner that reads ‘a bad miracle’. The banner is tied to lines of colorful flags.

The Tariy evolved from tunneling herbivores who ventured to the surface, and they're horrible. A couple of centuries back, Amphisbenes taught them to be better neighbors, but they're still xenophobic weirdos with brain parasites and too much advanced tech. Drawn by @cadmiumtea.bsky.social
An eight-limbed, vaguely weasel-like creature called the Tariy in various poses: one curled up, one reaching up, two moving/falling, and one sitting upright, balancing its full length. They have dark green eye-spots, and a circle of actual eyes around the tip of their whiskered snout. Instead of nostrils, they have slits at the very front of their snouths. They posses jaws meant for cutting, and several tongue-like appendages inside their orange-colored mouths--these appendages are for gripping, scraping, and pulping their food, sort of like teeth or a snail's radula.
There is also a depiction of their claws, evolved for digging through soil and manipulating roots.

One of my Amphisbene aliens. They just discovered gardening and hats, thanks to their friends from Earth. Some of the plants are ordinary earthly flora, like cacti and lithops. Others are predatory xenoflora from the Amphisbene home world. Drawn by @cadmiumtea.bsky.social for me.
A six-limbed creature reminiscent of a striped tarantula with six eyes. The front-most limbs serve as mouths and ten-fingered hands. This is an amphisbene, an alien I designed. This one is wearing a large floppy hat and watering some plants they grew in bowls, pans, buckets, and a boot.

@cadmiumtea.bsky.social made me another Amphisbene drawing! Some worldbuilding info in the ALT text!
A member of my original species, the amphisbenes, dancing while twirling a ceremonial camouflage cloak. Typically a dull green, mottled with the colors of native xeno-flora, the ceremonial version is a bright, fiery red. The amphisbene themself is daubed with red over their underside, and their clothing is made from layers of spiky furred hide and leather armor plating to show off their fat tail and powerful limbs. Jewelry, in the form of beaded chains woven over their six legs and two trunk-arms, symbolizes the paths spaceships take on their routes. Posed to strike at prey, their hand-beak open as if about to snatch something from the air, the amphisbene shows off their skill as a hunter and their power as a duelist. Fake (one hopes) hand-beaks hang just under their six eyes add to the effect. To a human, this sight would be utterly terrifying, since the typical amphisbene appears to be a six-legged spider the size of a grizzly bear.

If you see this, post a monster? Okay, but Amphisbenes are technically not monsters. They're aliens the excellent artist @cadmiumtea.bsky.social helped illustrate for me in this reference sheet!
A large, roughly arachnid creature, the amphisbene has two large, flexible trunks that serve as arms, and their two mouths double as their hands. They possess six eyes, three to each sunken socket facing roughly forward. Their coloration is a mottled, swampy gray and black, somewhat resembling that of a newt or a giant gecko. Their feet, of which there are six, have fingers for climbing and specialized digging spurs, though because Amphisbenes are a tool-using people, those have atrophied considerably.

@cadmiumtea.bsky.social created a wonderful representation of me! As you can see, I am a normal capybara, and definitely not any sort of monster.
A charming bipedal capybara clasping his little paws. He wears a cane toad leather bow tie, and possesses some very un-capybara characteristics. Today, it's sharp teeth, glowing amber eyes, and a reptilian tail.
