My explanation to my manger for why I’ve suddenly started taking overtime again after doing fuck all for 2 years:

My 10th Shoot From The Hip show being at Underbelly before it closes? Monumental actually.

This was the first show I booked. I remember being so excited to just seem them live once. I just booked my 9th show, and I wish I could go back to me 6 months ago, when I was in some of the worst depression I've ever been in, to tell myself that booking that show would completely change my life.

It’s my turn to add something cool to my bio ❤️ I’m now a subtitler for Shoot From The Hip, the UK’s biggest improv group, working on their Patreon-exclusive Livestreams from stage. I’m doing work for my creative idols, it’s WILD 😭

Sometimes I remember I used to be publically humiliated in Drama because my anxiety from it used to make me cry. Now I've been playing D&D for over 10 years and have recently been trying out improv with my friends. I have to give myself a pat on the back for overcoming some of that fear ✨

Because I'm no longer streaming (fuck genAI) I'm opening my own community server up to more people - if we're mutuals and you would like an invite just let me know! It's a small server and we do coworking 3/4 days a week!

Hey y'all! I finally finished and uploaded my "AI Opted Out" graphic asset for Twitch! It can be used as a panel and/or an overlay element. It is 100% free but if you'd like to help me afford some HEPA filters for my asthma you can tip my ko-fi! Download: ko-fi.com/s/d80815996b Examples in 🧵

A square promotional graphic. The background is a pale yellow geometric honeycomb pattern. In the center is a frame with a thin brown outline, rounded corners, and a transparent white background. At the top of the frame in bold tan lettering is the title which reads "Free Twitch Panel & Overlay Asset". Underneath the title is significantly smaller text that reads "320x250". Below that is the subtitle that reads "multiple color options". Under the subtitle is the advertised graphic asset design. A large bold black text "AI" with a red crossed out circle above it. Just below it is slightly smaller, bold and bubbly red text that reads "opted out". The design is outlined in white, and then outlined in a slightly thinner black.

Okay now that I've booked SFTH shows 7+8 for my birthday I am now officially determined to get that number to 10 by the end of the year. 🙌 (Technically 9 already for when the Christmas show gets announced 🎄)

Heads up friends, I'm now on a streaming hiatus until Twitch gets its shit together with the genAI training. I don't want that anywhere near my content, and to me right now it's not clear that opting out actually means opting out. PLEASE TURN IT OFF IN YOUR SETTINGS.

Be gentle on and stick by streamers stuck in perpetual heatwaves if they can't stick to schedules, are forced to cancel, or have to end early at the moment 💜 In the UK especially, it's getting to a point where it's impossible to cool down, and having the PC/lights on only adds to that 😭

On my SFTH bullshit again but the 1st half of my first ever show came out on YT today. Normally they cut out 1 or 2 of the games, but they kept everything in, meaning that when the longform comes out next week, I'll have my first ever show in full, which they very often DONT DO 😭💜 IM EMOTIONAL OKAY

The 'but I only use genAI for x thing' creatives piss me off more than the people who own the fact they use it with their whole chest, the fact that you're trying to make excuses just tells me you know its wrong but don't care enough about the devastating impacts to change 🙂
