I wish to one day (soon!) wake up in a world that is both rational and compassionate... But perhaps there's something wrong with me in imagining this? I might be the only one... 😢 💡📚💙 #philosophy #ethics #PhilSky #atheism #anticapitalism #socialism
I wish to one day (soon!) wake up in a world that is both rational and compassionate. People work only as much as they have to for satisfying the basic requirements of life, with some allowance for minor extras that never reach the insensitiveness of luxury. A world of wise, polyamorous vegetarians that deeply respect the solitude of each person when apart from the crowd. Each person's own free time is abundant and considered sacred. A world of non-smokers that also eliminated excess production, as well as redundant commuting, in favor of generous parks and green spaces which easily and quickly connect each person with the fairly allocated vocation-job. Where public canteens serve truly organic dishes to a harmonious collectivity, removing the burden on each individual's own shopping, cooking and garbage disposal. Where medical science truly does not neglect even the most unfortunate members of society, who are never homeless, not even close, never lacking the basic requirements of life... Oh, I wish... Is that too much to ask?...

I want to thank Clarabelle for all her efforts in creating the wonderful BookSky feed. She's not only supersexy, she's superkind! She contributes to a better world in so many ways. Some great books may reach the right audience, thus improve all our lives, especially due to her! 💙📚🌶️

I wrote a novel about a lesbian atheist philosopher, living in poverty who builds an anti-capitalist ethical theory from scratch, proposing a just society. Fictionalized memoir. Free demo links below. 📚💙 archive.org/details/bne-... cosas.itch.io/basic-needs-... #ethics #anticapitalism #lesbianbooks
It is good to make a physical fire, I don’t dispute that. But I thought we were better than casting such reproachful replies. How can you care about someone and at the same time splash that person with harsh flaks? Even if you are right and that person made a mistake, do you think whipping criticism helps? I don’t know about others, but this only makes me feel angrier and more guilty than necessary. You could have told me the same idea in a more humane, more gracious sentence, Cornelia. You don’t even have to do it for my sake, if that takes too much effort on your part. Do it for yourself, so that later, when you review the events’ movie inside your mind, you have fewer things to reproach yourself, you can be truly proud of how you handled the crisis...

Hey, Cornelia, who will light a fire to warm my inner being? You know, Cornelia, I probably will never touch a girl again and the real me will slowly wither and die because of that, because of religious, as well as other callous dogmas that you like to be followed, religious restrictions that put a roof over my visible physical body, since, beyond sterile spiritual meows, in essence, proven daily not through the words, but through everyone’s deeds, this visible physical body is all that the world cares about... They don’t care who I really am and how I really feel, as long as the bells toll and the rituals whine claiming to save our souls, our eternally damned souls, while visible fires burn, while all that matters are the visible fires that burn... Who will light my final fire, Cornelia?...
