Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 29/09/2026One of my favourite games. Absolutely gorgeous and such a joy to see through from beginning to end. 010
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 22/09/2026The last time that happened to me it was because my very expensive new games console was being taken out of its box and replaced with a 24 can pack of rubicon mango and some cleaning fluid 🥺 121
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 11/09/2026That's ok. My time is also limited. So i'll choose not to waste it playing games made with AI. 0342

Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 23/07/2026All in on steam is exactly my thought. Ebayed the PS5 this week. 000
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 22/07/2026If it was just next gen I'd still be annoyed but ceasing physical production mid-gen for a system they upsold me an add-on drive for sucks. Ebayed the PS5 pro today. 000
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 14/07/2026The recent episode of podcast unlocked where he decided to approach the massive number of Xbox layoffs by discussing the ideal buyers for some of their studios was equally awful. Completely failed to read the room. Might be my last time listening tbh. 010
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 10/07/2026"the lasting impression after playing it is of just how little time, resources and expertise that MICROSOFT chose to invest in this project." There, fixed it for you. 010
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 02/07/2026I think one of the reasons home computers were so big in uk/Europe in the 80s and 90s was price. I could pick up full price Amiga games for £20. Budget games for under a tenner. No way I could have afforded console game prices. 010
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 01/07/2026When I buy a game for £60 I like to be able to sell it if I don't like it. I don't care if the whole game is on disc or not. I do like a transferable license. That i can borrow, lend or sell. 260
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 24/06/2026I also don't think people are necessarily acting like it's something new. They're disappointed and are acting like it's something bad. Which it is. Bad behaviour isn't made better just because someone's not the first to have done it. 010
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 24/06/2026If you think this is ok and want to defend it then i guess we just have to agree to disagree. If you don't, then you also think it sucks. If others are also doing it, it means they suck as well. It doesn't let Take2 off the hook. Did I expect better not really. Should I hope for better. Absolutely. 210
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 24/06/2026It's not just cosmetics, there's a side mission as well. 120
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 24/06/2026For me this has just gone from day one purchase to completely not interested. Not only no physical release but completely scummy practice of locking single player content behind the more expensive version. I will not support that. 000
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 18/06/2026Also the argument is often presented entirely as an issue of license fee evasion. But using BBC services can include listening to radio, using BBC websites, using BBC sounds app. None of these require a license fee so you wouldn't expect number of license fee payers and bbc users to exactly match. 060
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 18/06/2026Not sure that argument entirely holds water. Sure, if the extra 14% paid perhaps it would.make up the shortfall. But if that 14% just decided to or were forced to stop using bbc services the percentages would be equal and the shortfall would remain. 100
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 16/06/2026Can we use one of the 'official' VPN's to sign up for an unofficial one 😄 000

Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 07/06/2026They made a big deal right at the start about Gears being a console exclusive and yet literally everything else is still on PS5. Hardly a good enough reason to stick with xbox. Sorry...XBOX. 000
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 06/06/2026I love this whole trilogy. But ever since seeing Before Midnight it's been my favourite of the three. I've seen it five or six times. It's a bit of a stressful watch at times but it's so so good. Don't want to spoil by going into any more details so just please watch it. Such a fantastic film. 020
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 30/04/2026There's also an ongoing BDS boycott of Xbox. Wonder whether that's having an impact 010

Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 05/03/2026I was on the fence about whether to give pokopia a try but this has put me right off. No way i have time for this sort of nonsense. I'd expect this FOMO crap in a mobile game. Not one i've just paid 60 quid for. 030
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 28/02/2026Oh, thanks for the headsup. Maye i'll take a look at alternatives then 😬 120
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 28/02/2026Thanks 😊 I use expressVPN. I think that one is pretty good with data protection. 120
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 28/02/2026Stupid question here, if i have a vpn active on my mobile phone will this also stop such data collection or would i have to change dns settings as well? 210
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 18/02/2026If all they're gonna release are endless more third person action games then steam can take my money. 020

Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 09/12/2025I used to read videogame and film magazines as a kid (well, still do 😁) and they'd use the word genre a lot. I always said it as jeneer in my head. 000
Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 08/12/2025That's good to know. Wad thinking about this for switch 2. But will get the pc version instead. Shame. 000

Hudd_Dave @corvus1978.bsky.social · 07/10/2025Eg the bus cap was originally a Conservative policy. And the cap then rose under Labour by 50%. Are we to supposed to applaud them because at least they didn't scrap it completely 🙄 030
