they could, no character is truly set in stone for them, like god damn i'm fairly convinced warden and sinclairs VA's are gonna be replaced at some point. there other characters released since the 6 heroes update that valve has updated and touched up on their models as well

it'd also mean she gets to be less americanized as she currently is and idk, maybe she could get an actual color palette that was common in chinese art around the 50's? maybe that'd be cool huh valve?

im ngl she's held back by having immigrated to the US too early in her backstory. i think it would've been more compelling if she was someone who recently immigrated from china and experiencing culture shock, there's also a lot more potential for reasons why she'd be in the ritual too with that

but then like she has a convo with danny where she's willing to buy fairfax products and like 🥱 they made a boring art liberal

her convo's with billy and haze give an idea of what her message maybe could be about as she seems to be the most cordial with billy and seems afraid of haze and i'm thinking "oh okay maybe her arts like anti-government or perhaps pro-ixian/anti-ixian war"

there's little inklings here and there abt violet tbh, like her motivation for joining the ritual is she wants her art to be noticed and on its own that's like the lamest shit ever, but one of her convo's with seven kinda enforces the idea that maybe she has a message to say with her art

i don't mind her kit being on the more simple side but her right click does have really interesting ways to use it in creative ways. the most important one to me is i used it to write "lol" after killing someone for bm it is wasting 3 charges for that but worth it

i don't have a problem with her being mundane but seven really call her out as a cliche and he was so right. paige and the scrapped hero trapper are also mundane as fuck but have interesting wishes for the patron like finding her missing brother or the absurdity of wasting it on baseball tickets.

"prestigious art student wants to use her wish to get acknowledged by the world for her art" like okay cool what if instead she made a little unkillable art monster terrorizing new york that would've been way more interesting a reason for her to be in the ritual

i like violet conceptually but like yea her backstory is about as boring and cliche as it gets for an art student character.
