A new DW investigation uncovered gaps in the protection of victims' identities within the DOJ's Epstein archive. Months after the DOJ said it had strengthened redaction procedures, DW reporters found documents containing victim-identifying information that remained publicly accessible.

DW correspondent Alican Uludağ received the Turkish Press Freedom Award on July 24. The Turkish Journalists' Association (TGC) honored his public-interest reporting. Congratulations! Alican was released from detention earlier this week but still faces ongoing legal proceedings.

The documentary "Sudan: A Hospital in the Shadow of War," produced by Docdays for DW, ZDF and Arte, has won the Grimme Prize in the "Information and Culture" category. The film follows surgeon Joseph Yacoub, who runs one of the few functioning hospitals in the remote Nuba Mountains.
