While i do think that was a genuinely good Nintendo direct, they aren't capitalizing on new console hype, we can't go nearly a full year without a regular one, partner showcases are fine and they can be interesting but i feel at minimum we need another major one per year-

game devs need to stop this trend of making every installment the series entry point and refuse to make sequels that actually follow up on a game's story This even happens for games with a heavier focus on narrative now, like, if they're just gonna throw out all that progress why get invested

That direct was pretty good, had a great variety of games, Prime 4 finally got a release date, Virtual Boy is very funny, DK DLC is very fun, and Fortune's Weave possibly being a 3H sequel is interesting...i hope it isn't just 3H 2 and can stand on its own

Some thoughts on Mario Kart World: -regular course design is amazing and the roadways aren't as boring as i thought theyd be -really want an option to be able to consistently play closed courses for online -knockout tour is fantastic, can see it easily becoming a staple mode of the series
