Hello We are still around. Had a great summer. Bob is much more frail as he is older, Jaffa is getting along great, but now confined to conservatory as he is starting dementia and so inappropriate 💩 in the house. He has his radio & heated cat bed, so is happy. Trots around outside

We have a "rock & roll" bed, which adds 2 seats when up, but quite hard to sleep on (we added a foam topper) and is a small double. Toilet is set in place with formers fastened to help floor, but your solution sounds great

Yes, they usually put them alongside, but this way we can open & enter/exit both ways
