I finished knitting the sweater that’s been my project for the past two months. I was between sizes so chose to go up, with the end result being a comfy, slouchy sweater.

I added thumb holes into the cuffs so I can pull the sleeves down over my hands to help keep them warm.

I've been out of work for two months. I've interviewed and been passed over. I've applied to jobs thoughtfully and by volume, tapped my networks, and pumped my contacts. I've renewed certifications, gained new ones, and thrown myself head first into AI. Nothing. It's hard not to feel like a relic.

Fellow holders of Canada PR and US citizenship, where are we risk-wise on crossing the border into the US these days? Is it still OK if you enter via a method with pre-clearance? If you’re injured, then you’re *supposed* to be resting, my guy. I’m not injured, just lazy and watching this year’s remaster of The Fall (Tarsem, 2006). No big lizards breathing atomic backwash but I feel that was a creative choice, not a narrative restriction.

Sheri Tepper: The Visitor. Not her best book IMO but it was the one that opened my thinking. Peter Cashorali: Fairy Tales, and More Fairy & Folk Tales. They were out of print for quite some time but might be available again, check his website to be sure.
