Apparently web design is like riding a bike. Who knew?

I was in a training for web editing yesterday, and it resurrected the ghost of 2004 within me. Every bit of Blogspot came flooding back. Dreamweaver and one truly old-school web design class from 2008 also resurfaced.

Yeah, I've been cutting back on milk more and more, and my seasonal allergies have been absolutely kicking harder lately. My new spring romance is with allergy meds T_T

He was also upset about them slurping on their drink during the interview. Very confusing, since I've been offered water or coffee at most of my long interviews.

It's offline, too. Just had a program director complain that interviewees are showing up with iced coffee and just plunking it down on mahogony desks.

It's National Chai Day, and I want a real spiced chai and a concha (because I always want a chai and a concha)

Are the chemtrails in the room with you? Are they whispering dreadful secrets in your ears?

By genre, then by author, with different authors grouped together by vibes. Children's books are arranged by reading level (picture books, easy readers, early chapter, etc.)

HVAC is probably good for industry stuff, because new homes will install old units (and AC techs will spot it), and other exciting things like a specific type of freon being discontinued and updates needing to happen.

Do we need to list out the weight he claims, or do we just take our best guess?

Donating to local races is the best way to help improve the chances of people up the ballot. Especially in the case of Talarico because Texas is just too dang big for one campaign to cover. Local campaigns help fill the gaps and get out the vote.

Technically I was also protesting the fact that the clicker provided by the school absolutely never worked, and that the school had also downgraded us to very crappy laptops with limited functionality (and USB ports).

The number of times I've kicked off because I 1) am supposed to circulate the room during direct instruction and 2) use technology which 3) requires me to stand behind my desk to advance the slides

You must have one (or all) of the following: A mint or candy from a restaurant. A rubber band that has aged into a stiff lump. A scrap of paper with a string of numbers written on it, its meaning lost to time. A battery that hasn't been used but is likely dead anyway.

My college has "faculty lounges" but it's just where the copier and coffee maker live. Extremely boring. I know some people picture an exclusive VIP lounge or whatever, but it's mostly empty and decorated with passive-aggressive signs about cleaning out your mugs and sharing the fridge.

At this point, we're backing up into my next meeting, so might as well try the boss-summoning move of being in the middle of something else

I have a meeting with my boss, but she is stuck in another meeting. So I'm doing that thing where I try to decide if I'll pick up work on my project again but I just know that, as soon as I do, she'll be ready to meet with me

I need the general public to be as mad at this as they are whenever a library tries to throw out a moldy, mass-produced paperback.

Yesterday I saw a praying mantis that looked like a piece of bark. Apparently it's a Carolina mantis? I didn't have my phone to take a picture, so you'll have to trust me when I say it was pretty cool

They can be very sweet and fun dogs, for sure! My in-laws have always had poodles (standard and toy). Strong prey drive, lots of upkeep, though.

My mind boggled. The AQI here, today, will be 11 and I'm limiting my outdoor time for just that!

Cori Classen @coriseasinger.bsky.social · 18/07/2026
I would say poodles, but just know that their ears have to be regularly cleaned/plucked/shaved or they will get infected and smell like death. Most groomers will do that with the regular groom, but if you plan to bathe and cut them yourself, it's important to know!

If the city builds a skatepark, those people get mad. If the library has teen events (instead of more children's events, I guess?) people get mad.

I had two Catholic girls at a Protestant church camp ask me if they were Christian. Clearly someone else had gotten to them before (because my camp was very chill about other denominations and religions).

Did the situation call for a red flag? Probably not! But it didn't call for a safety car on the last lap either!
