"OK but that's pretty vanilla" yeah but I like them and they'd be real flashy and fun here. Anyway, Pandora's Labyrinth of Deceit and Wahoo World for stages. Gotta keep people on their toes.

Pit is still there, but runs First Blade as his "main" weapon and has Claw, Cannon, and Palm attacks. There is SO much sauce that Uprising added that just didn't get backported to his Smash moveset. Likewise, Inkling gets Brella and Splatling inktegrated. And Bloblobber for salt points.

Last time I went "Wait hold on, that's SUPER weird," it was with Ichiban's name tags, because the empty space and lack of Kiryu and Majima was SUPER blatant. I figured they were gonna add Kiryu later. Then they announced Majima, which somehow curveballed me while still proving the point, LOL

. . .I suppose to add a TINY spark of hope, it's frickin' WEIRD they chose Air Man as the third choice for this festival. Like, yes, haha, memes, you can't defeat Air Man Why is it ALMOST Bass' color scheme Why would you choose that over any of SEVERAL other choices

I mean, a slot's a slot, money and dev time is money and dev time, but like. IDEAS-wise the layup is pretty easy. Bass, Roll, Treble Darkstar vehicle. A nice daytime city track for contrast. It'd cook, I swear. #SonicRacingCrossworlds

Imma be so real right now. The #SonicRacingCrossworlds Mega Man pack got me greedy. I know the chances of getting a second year of DLC are slim, and the chances of getting any one pack if it DID happen exponentially slimmer. But heck it. I'd take a second Mega Man wave INSTANTLY if offered it.

Happy 14th anniversary of the release #KidIcarusUprising to those who celebrate! 11 more years to go! I WILL be getting worse. #KidIcarus #Nintendo #SuperSmashBros #SSB

An image of my current Kid Icarus merch collection, including both Figma figures, all three Amiibo, the Captain N DVD set and comic book series, including one comic signed by the voice actor for "Kid Icarus" in Captain N, Captain N animation cels, an original Kid Icarus NES cart, the Kid Icarus: Uprising soundtrack release, the Kid Icarus Uprising strategy guide, an issue of Nintendo power covering Kid Icarus: Uprising, a copy of Super Smash Bros Brawl, a commissioned drawing of Pit I bought from Tracy Yardley, and a copy of Kid Icarus: Uprising signed by both Ali Hillis and Hynden Walch, the voices of Palutena and Viridi respectively. Look, if you have to wait 25 years for a sequel, you need to start doing weird things to fill the gaping, Kid Icarus-less void in your heart. I've started collecting.

I love the mascot suit shenanigans so much

The drawing depicts the reference image in the top left corner. At the Tokyo Game Show presentation for Sonic Racing Crossworlds, there was a music event with the mascot costumes dancing to the music. Shadow proceeded to do nothing but sulk, with Rock eventually trying to get him to do the wave.

I think I read someone speculate that it's because he's vulnerable to light? So the shades would allow him to plausibly be out in the daytime, when that wouldn't otherwise be viable for him.

coricus.bsky.social @coricus.bsky.social · 26/09/2025

Yeah! It surprised me, too! But she's here already, and the Miku music collabs that were dome for Crossworlds are loaded into the game as sound test/custom music options, too. Her event is October 3rd-6th, I think?

They actually added her day one, funnily enough. They're doing a themed online event where you can earn cosmetics themed after her in a few days.

They have these at my zoo as well. Half a dozen in an indoor enclosure, all happy and active. They've become my favorite exhibit! I ended up watching them during feeding time once. Zookeeper fed them pinky mice using a pair of tongs. You would not. IMAGINE. How many mice one tiny kitty can eat.

Three month update: After having long since gotten my awesome commission from @yardleyart.bsky.social framed, I've been wanting to try something more with it. So this week I tried isolating his linework digitally and then filling it in using color picking for fun! #KidIcarus #KidIcarusUprising

A commission created by Sonic the Hedgehog Archie/IDW comic artist Tracy Yardley of Pit from Kid Icarus: Uprising, lovingly placed in a plastic frame with a black exterior and a gold interior. A plush toy of an Inkling from Splatoon is positioned in front of it, as personal identification.

Or, alternatively, those three cups could mean something else entirely, and updates will be patched in accordingly. . .which would leave room for SIX tracks. Either way, I get the impression that maybe not EVERY new character will get a free update track, but some MIGHT.

000

coricus.bsky.social @coricus.bsky.social · 10/06/2025

With the image of the three cups that aren't covered by the main campaign you shared before, and two of them being gold (we know cups are three tracks each, and there are six DLC tracks), I got it into my head we MIGHT see three update tracks. Maybe. Potentially with Crossworlds alternated in?

I feel like it's maybe because the original Hades already encouraged you to play the game dozens of times in order to get as much plot as possible? While with Undertale, you play it, like. Twice. And only once if you want to live with yourself. Different precedents, I guess.

Excuse me, my son has an entirely different set of diseases, this is libel. I know exactly how cute my linguini is If he looks a little unstable, that might be the whole being made of dead human souls thing the Underworld started doing between games, but I'm not gonna worry about that too hard

A picture of an orange Inkling from Splatoon pointing angrily and accusingly at the viewer while a Shemum from Kid Icarus Uprising is perched on their head. The Shemum is currently biting them and the Inkling is poisoned, but that's not the point.

Immediately diving in with hot takes: - Shemum got a glow up in Uprising and should at least be bottom of good snek tier, even if they are in fact, an evil snek, and also sometimes one or more dead humans - Nuregami is perfect snecimen tier, not receiving criticism at this time /lh

Image of a Shemum enemy from Kid Icarus: Uprising, which is a blue snake with giant fangs and golden feathery wings

Image of Nuregami from the video game Okami, a resplendent white snake with feathery accents and artisinal red accent lines. A deity with power over water, she is beauty and grace incarnate, except for the fact that she is currently stuck in a glass jar and doesn't quite seem to have the leverage to get out.

Finally got around to drawing something long, LONG overdue. This is Gal, an. . .inkfish. She mostly sticks to Salmon Run. Kinda have to prod her into playing Turf War. She seems fresh, if quirky, but there's something off about her, too. . . #Splatoon #SplatoonOC #KidIcarus #KidIcarusUprising

Splatoon inkfish OC (for lack of a better term) modeled after the Galactic Fiend Kraken from Kid Icarus: Uprising. She is wearing an old Team Ninja Splatfest tee that has been torn up, and Hunting Boots. On one side of the image is text that reads: "Gal" - Mains Krak-on Roller and Bloblobber - Eggsecutive VP - Is eating the salmon - Ninja Obsession - Do NOT mention pirates - Mild fear of chickens. . .? - Not that fond of Turf (the following two in small text) - Secretly an artificial lifeform created by Dyntos - Is actually shrunk from her true size . This version of the image has her wearing a pair of Tinted Shades and making a triangular frown.
