A cold 8 degree start at #MiddletonLakes this morning which turned into a pleasantly hot day with 4Ruff 3GreenSandpiper Common Sandpiper Black-tailed Godwit LRP 6Snipe 2GWE 3Common Tern 3Water Rail and a lot of juvenile warblers on their way south. 4Clouded Yellows Painted Lady & a Vestal Moth.

Warm damp morning at #middletonlskes brightened by first (for me) Redwing of the autumn plus a flick of 70+ Golden Plover which circled Jubilee for 10 - 15 minutes but did not land Also Ruff Stonechats and a big flick of Redpoll

Another wet day at #middletonlakes 6Green Sand 4GWE 2Common Sand 8Common Tern 12LRP but NO Avocet 1Blackwit + plethora of hirundines and Swifts and young warblers everywhere Water levels well up on Jubilee but both scrapes and Canal Pool have plenty of exposed mud.
