The roadpmap shows results from and knowledge exchange among researchers, government representatives, practitioners, community organisations and technical specialists, following a workshop co-organised in Fiji in 2025. Three priority areas for innovation and investment are discussed in the roadmap.

To improve water quality and strengthen reef resilience, we must define priority areas. This new roadmap was developed by CORDAP together with @cefasgovuk.bsky.social , the Nutrient Pollution Global Action Network , @wcs.org and @nature.org

Pollution does not distinguish between farms, towns, rivers, estuaries and the sea: nutrients applied to a field to grow the food on our plate may end up in coastal waters, threatening coral health. Sediment washed from soil, or wastewater entering groundwater, may also end up in a coral reef.

With our @cordap.bsky.social funded COSMARINDO project we train Indonesian students in how to monitor coral reproduction. Arin during her BA thesis experiment for which she is testing the biodegradable BESE paste as binding agent for different settlement substrate types for coral planulae.
