I thought this would be the game that Trapilo made the transition to the active list. Hopefully next week.

@kfishbain.bsky.social do you expect Ahmed to be elevated for this game? Seems pretty certain that Gordon will be added to the 53 and be active for this gane and Trapilo will be active for this time this season and fill the swing tackle role.

James Lynch is a much better player right now. Also have Shermar Turner coming off PUP list soon.

That’s insane. This from a Company that started with a not for profit mandate. This industry needs to be nationalized asap. These guys are blinded by greed and ambition and cannot handle the power that is at their disposal.

Very surprised by Lynch, who I thought had been playing well particularly setting the edge against the run game. Bears must feel Geno Smith will be putting it up a lot today with Breese Hall out and must feel Davenport gives them more in the pass rush.

No chance they move Thuney. Benedet will start tomorrow. Ozzy May be active as the swing tackle this week .

Who is getting activated to replace Jones on the 53? Are they clearing a roster spot early in anticipation of Gordon/Turner/Sewell being eligible to be activated next week for the Packers game?

The only difference is that “risk” can be completely eliminated by not consuming Tyson’s products. The chickens are not going to plot to preserve themselves by eliminating mankind.

Who is the nickel?

Both of the QBs in that game were outstanding. Simmons does not have the physical gifts that Taylor does but he is a heck of a QB. Somehow Mizzou always has 4-5 real good NFL prospects. In addition to the QB, that safety, DE, WR, OG they have are very good players.

My guess is that Gordon starts practicing soon and will be active by week 5 against the Packers.

More than likely a hedge against Stevenson being injured and not being able to go this weekend. Malik Muhammad would probably slide to outside CB and McCloud would provide nickel depth.

Some of you guys sound just as moronic as the most die hard MAGA supporter. Do any of you have any clue how our government works? Even if we have filibuster proof control of Congress, we can’t do most of what is on this list without concurrence from the executive branch (i.e. trump).

The Bears may feel the same and as a result may keep him on the 53 initially, especially after the Dexter trade. Marcus Davenport still needs time to ramp up so you might see him cut and signed to the practice squad rather than risk Loving to a waiver claim.

I wonder what changed in 2025 that could have been a factor in altering the trend lines? Bottom line, Democrats pursue policies that improve the lives of every day Americans and then voters get amnesia and bring Republicans back into power so they can screw it up.

As a lifelong Chicagoan and Illinois resident, I want to say nice work, Governor! Refreshing to see a level of competence restored to State Government after the disastrous Rauner years. Please keep it up. We need to figure out how to rightsize future pension obligations next.

Interesting, but I think the absolute level of rates makes our current situation different. I view the reinflation of the yield curve to a level that is more consistent with pre financial crisis levels as unavoidable. It took a pandemic to offset the deflationary impact of the financial crisis.

I don’t agree that he has flashed anything in terms of technique or OL skill set that make him unique. The only thing the guy has shown is to be endowed with great physical attributes. The key phrase is “if he stays healthy”. He hasn’t shown an ability to do so at any point in his football career.

I think it’s more likely he ends up getting cut. If he makes the 53, it’s because he was a 3rd rounder. The guy has bust written all over him. I say cut your losses and move on.

An undrafted college pitcher and a long time Mets minor leaguer signed as a FA. Nice pick ups & kudos to the Cubs for unlocking something other teams missed with these two but the list is an indictment of the Cubs pitching prospect depth prior to this year. Let’s hope this draft changes things.

Does our idiot President not understand that Congress cannot make a law that conflicts with rights enshrined in our Constitution? The Supreme Court just reaffirmed birthright citizenship. Even if Congress could pass a law ending that right (It can't), the law would be struck down by this Court.

Furthermore, your insinuation that Biden "protected" Trump is not only ridiculous but also offensive. Nominating a good but but too cautious man in Garland for AG was one of the very few mistakes Biden made in what was otherwise the most accomplished 4 year Presidential term in the last 50 years.

corbi296.bsky.social @corbi296.bsky.social · 23/06/2026
You are a clown who doesn't seem to understand the 245 years of precedent which dictated that the Justice Department operate independently, free from Executive Branch interference. The AG of the U.S.represents the people, not the President. You & Trump don't seem to understand this.

You may want to rethink that. She reveres Mussolini. As someone who was born in Italy and whose grandfather fought in WW1 and was a regional leader of the Partigianni during WWII, in my book no one who remembers Mussolini fondly should ever be trusted or put in a position of power.

Dumb comment. Don't you think they are there because of their parents? The same parents who should have taught them right from wrong? Obviously the parents didn't & that is why we have kids in the U.S. who are as indoctrinated & brainwashed as uneducated kids who come out of a Pakistani madrassa.

corbi296.bsky.social @corbi296.bsky.social · 18/06/2026
How is this different than the brain washed kids who come out of Madrassas in Pakistan or other Middle East countries? The Republican Party and MAGA have become the U.S. version of the taliban.

You're an ignorant fool. If you have a beef, it's with the AG. Maybe you don't understand the separation of powers concept that is a bedrock principal of the U.S. Constitution. The Executive should not interfere with the Justice Department.Trump ridicules that idea & apparently you are like minded.

Questioning the patriotism of a man like Biden, who has dedicated his life to helping & serving the people of Delaware & this country, just shows how detached from reality you fools are.Compromise is a must in our system of government & a country as diverse as ours. If you don't like it, relocate.

What happened? I know Stacey was not in the best of shape but 59 is too young to go. He was such a smooth low post scorer coming out of Oklahoma and those skills combined with the fact he was a lefty made him difficult to guard. He was affectionately nicknamed "Burger" King. We'll miss him. RIP.

You are too smart to fall for this. Parse their statement carefully. It means nothing. They don't even commit to the Hammond site. Could it be because the preliminary soil testing is a disaster? This is the only thing the Bears could do to hang on to any sort of leverage vis a vis Illinois.

Read their statement carefully. It means nothing. There is no commitment on their part. They don't even commit to focusing on the Hammond site. This is the only thing the Bears could do to hang on to any bit of leverage vs. the State of Illinois. They want to stay in Chicagoland.
000
corbi296.bsky.social @corbi296.bsky.social · 05/06/2026
Completely agree. That statement means nothing. It seems to suggest they are not even committed to the Hammond site. Could that be because the soil tests are very problematic for multiple reasons? Many more twists and turns before the stadium saga is finally resolved.
000
corbi296.bsky.social @corbi296.bsky.social · 05/06/2026
I wouldn’t be thinking this is a done deal just yet. As a lifelong Chicagoan/Bears fan, I see plenty of wiggle room in that statement not the least of which is a reference that implies they are not even committed to the Hammond site. Could that be because the soil testing results are a disaster?
000
corbi296.bsky.social @corbi296.bsky.social · 01/06/2026
The devil is in the details. First, the State of Illinois would not own all of the Arlington land, just the stadium. Secondly, just like with the Indiana deal, the agreement would likely include a Bears option to buy the stadium at the end of a 40 year period for a de minimis sum.

Maybe the most ridiculous thing I've read lately. Blaming a system of government designed by us that requires our informed engagement for it to work as intended is just silly talk. An imperfect system but still the best devised by mankind unless you can point to a better one.

Our system of government is flawed but still the best ever conceived by man.The problem is us. The system has been corrupted by the greedy/unscrupulous/power hungry but the reason they have succeeded is we have let them. Ignorance/apathy/indifference are the enemies of Democracy. It's not too late!

corbi296.bsky.social @corbi296.bsky.social · 18/05/2026
Spot on. A constitutional Republic is a subset of a Democratic form of government. It is a representative Democracy. Anyone who claims it is not or does not understand this, is not worth listening to because they have no idea what they are talking about.
