There are a million problems we need to deal with but a civic focused fair is still a great idea. Seattle probably spent too much on the World Cup but it is great seeing everyone out having a blast and the city focusing on a date to get things fixed. A fair could do something similar.

I just got back to Seattle and the city is overrun with Soccer, so after seeing Bosnian/Qatar fans having a blast all over I had to watch. I also read that if Bosnia won then the US would play them and be favored and if Bosnia lost we would have to play Senegal and they would be favored.

The WC experience in Seattle is pretty amazing. Transit for WC fans is pretty flawless and there are tons of free watch party areas and bars/restaurants with new giant screens.
