this is so real 😭 i’ve been in multiple accidents and every time there’s a sketchy moment on the road where i think i might have a collision, i automatically brace for impact and my brain very specifically prepares for that god awful sound. i understand you so much

omg my library has an option to submit a survey abt what kind of books you enjoy and they’ll reply with 5 recommendations, and the response from the librarian is such a detailed list with so much thought put into it from a real person. the library is so fucking cool!! snippet of the email

As a fellow fan of The Raven Cycle, my mind immediately went to The Bright Sword by Lev Grossman. This diverse and intricate book follows a group of well-defined characters with complex relationships with one another, much like Blue and the Algionby boys. The Arthurian setting and mythology of The Bright Sword also mirrors The Raven Cycle's rooting in Welsh mythology, resulting in a very similar feeling of wonder. It's also a very thoughtful story, asking questions about what makes a good society in the Middle Ages and today.
Another cast of characters with complex, well-thought-out relationships, as you mentioned, can be found in Alexandra Rowland's dazzling and romantic A Taste of Gold and Iron. The primary relationship is between the two leads, but each of the men has a whole web of connections to family, ex-lovers and friends, and all these bonds are tested as they work to uncover a plot against their kingdom.

you did everything that you could do in this situation 🫂 the best thing that you can do now for this child is document what you heard w the time and date, keep eyes and ears out for what unit they might be in, and present the info in a cps report if it happens again. you can always call cps now
