#rant I am in disbelief I got a bug that broke mouse clicks! No amount of fiddling with the device/desktop would make it work again. Frustrated, I resorted to reboot using the keyboard. Only to be taunted by search results showing where to CLICK!!!?

Windows 11 search menu where the user searched for the word "reboot". The best match search result is the ReBoot tv show. The visual web search preview next to it shows a Microsoft help guide on where to click on your desktop to restart your PC.

A user would expect the search menu to simply give the option to reboot the PC, but NO! Here's results from the web you didn't ask for!

#rant Start my exe app on Win11 and I get a useless security notification say that Windows protected me from *something vague*. No more "I know what I'm doing" pop-up. You must navigate through menus for the on/off (no granularity) safety switch. So unintuitive 🙄

First test print of the Protogen helmet to check the fit around my head. And the fit is quite good! It's so good to have something physical in my hands after so many iterations. #protogen #fursuit #3dprint #blender

Finished 3D print of the Protogen helmet under-frame. The print is in two colors because I ran out of white during printing. For reference, the build plate is 350mm squared.

I may have over engineered this hinge for my 3d printed glasses. I wanted the ability to remove the temples (arms) for storing, while also keeping a good parallel alignment.

You can simply re-use the "probe" object to align the screw hole through multiple objects. I think this is what you meant instead of having to merge the objects :) Although, this means you have to set the same parameters on each object, which takes a bit more time.

It just so happens that I have recently written a tool to add screw holes using geometry nodes. I made this because I prefer to use screws between 3D printed parts and using booleans to carve out holes is just very time consuming. I'd be more than happy to share it with you!

After a week of parsing Kicad's file format, I can now programmatically place wires and vias for the ~800 LEDs on this panel. I'm having the most productive unemployment period (hire me)

Kicad PCB editor. The picture shows LEDs with 4 pins. The data pins are chained from one LED to the next, thanks for my automation.

Kicad (Electronics software) has got to have the most convoluted data structure I've ever laid my eyes upon. See alt text.

Sample of a Kicad pcb file. The data is grouped using parentheses. Each "group" of data (ex: footprint) can have any number of unlabeled attributes (ex: "LED_SMD..."). The lack of labeled attributes makes the data very hard to interpret. Also, this file is ~250k lines long and is quite long to parse.

Alert message about raspberry pi micro computer under-voltage at 4.65 volts (supposed to be 5 volts).
The raspberry pi computer will throttle to compensate for the lack of power stability.
This is most likely caused by component wear in the 5 volt power supply that powers the raspberry pi. I will need to investigate if it is caused by overheating or overloading of the power supply.
