In Harris County, Texas (Houston) you can vote at any polling location. All states should do this, statewide, so people in a high immigrant area have options to vote elsewhere. Otherwise, they’re sitting ducks. Yes, they should all be citizens. But we have seen how much ICE cares about that.

The Dems weren’t rewarded for impeaching Trump the last two times. It should only be done if they will have 60 votes in the Senate to convict. Same for Hegseth, Kennedy, Vought, Blanche etc. Meaningful investigations, thwarting at every turn, cutting budgets - that should be the focus.

My niece got a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Cornell. She almost quit because her fellow male candidates were so nasty and condescending towards her. I told her she couldn’t let them win. Later in life she would want to kick herself. But why did the university allow such behavior?

It seems like 1,000 isn’t very much. Houston has 73 early voting locations and over 600 locations for voting day. That’s just one city (although a large one.)

ICE cruelty is not a surprise to me. What I still continue to be surprised about is how they get away with it! We apparently need to write a law saying that people injured by federal law enforcement must be given standard medical care as determined solely by attending medical personnel.

I would tend to agree, but I’m old. I would never in my wildest dream have shown up to an interview with food, water etc. The fact that, of course, I would have a coffee at work is irrelevant. They are presumably competing for something, and should care enough to seem serious and respectful.
