So I sold a pretty decent chunk of my games and got everything set for Riptide. Today I came back from work to a dead monitor...

Here is some of the test footage I recorded prior.

I finally worked on a project I've been planning for a while. I wanted to share it prior to using it in person at LAN for a few reasons. I need funds to acquire 1 final part to ensure it runs as smoothly as possible. An SSD is what is needed for this so I wanted to boost my comms to get the funds.

I finally got it after getting that Rotom.

FINALLY IT TOOK LIKE 20 MORE SCANS BUT I GOT 2 BACK TO BACK. THAT WAS AWFUL.

Cool @ Riptide 🌊 @coolspl.bsky.social · 13/04/2026

Currently 50 Special Scans deep for a Rotom Hyperspace Portal with nothing in sight and I am starting to lose it since I just did other shiny hunts in the meantime since I haven't gotten any portals once.

Looking to make a steel deck in TCG Pocket rn. Lmk if anyone is willing to trade for these cards since I need them to make some setups. (2 copies of each)

Its because of the hitbox/hurtbox changes. Personally it fucks with my muscle memory but it really does feel like this in my X Rank matches because of that + latency.

Looking for an Ogerpon Full Art to complete a deck in TCG Pocket!

Shiny wise cards on the left is what I'm searching for while the cards on right is what I have to offer.

Cool @ Riptide 🌊 @coolspl.bsky.social · 26/02/2026

I'm looking for peeps for any of these cards on the left, what I got are the cards on the right.

Heyo all, I'm in the middle of paying off my small debt. I'm trying save up some money for LANs such as Big Dapple 10. So I'm lowering my coaching prices and offering Pokemon/Splatoon Weapon Pixel Pins or Keychains for $15-20. #commissions #art #splatoon #artcommissions

I did some testing thanks to @flingking5.bsky.social, but the range of the HP bars appearing is shorter than I was expecting, this applies to specials as well so I honestly think that the ones that benefited the are things like storm/wave/chump/screen. (Screen also counts as a LoS blocker)

Cool's Coaching Sessions are open with new options!

Ko-Fi
No change in current price at this time, but I will always ask if people receiving this
coaching want any sessions recorded for the use of playback, they will not be used for any content unless they have a desire for it to be.
New Coaching Options!
- Content
In exchange for art/help in a video I will provide a coaching session either at an individual
level or at a team level. (the help will just be recording the coaching session which will be
used for content/editing purposes)
- Twitch Subs
I will do individual coaching in exchange for a twitch sub can either be done during a stream
or done privately off-stream note that it will be more of a replay review than a full session.

All options will allow people to submit a review form at the end for future improvements.

I want to go back to owning Physical Carts on some of my Switch games so badly. But I have been so spoiled by digital games and their convenience, I also hate the feeling of losing carts.

I need more people complaining about bottlecaps the same way they did about Greninjite, we just need that QoL to make it easier. Mostly because if not for that, this was the fastest and easiest way to optimize a team.

I snapped yesterday and made the partial swap over to Linux. Not quite fully yet since I have to work out some compatibility issues with some software and external devices I use on Linux versus Windows. I might have to get a new capture card since mine is an older model that might not be supported.

Sorry for not doing anything for the past week everyone, I had plans to release a few videos and update some coaching things, and give updates on some Splatoon comp stuff but I have been completely overtaken by Pokemon for the first time in my life.

Cool @ Riptide 🌊 @coolspl.bsky.social · 16/10/2025

I am still undecided on Splatoon 3, since I feel we still have 1 more round of 3rd kits left to go and any balance patch and shift things all over again, so Liter is here because I don't hate fighting it but my friends do. I have personal beef with S! bubble hydra. S2 BP on release was a war crime.

This place was home to my first local competitive Splatoon experiences I was able to participate in. I would not be where I am today if I didn't go to this LAN when I did since it really contributed to my growth/path. Ty for allowing me to make friends within this scene BrookLAN you will be missed!

Fun news for me today, my bank account just got emptied out due to fraud on my debit card... It's like fine since I was able to catch it quickly, but I have to wait until the end of the week to dispute it while all those funds are on hold. I've never had an since high school so this fucking sucks.
