I can understand having to find the generator blindly and put the spark plug in, that can actually be fun at first. But then the tiny fuel cap... and then the ridiculously tiny power button... yeah... Pixel hunting really went to a whole new level there.

Plot twist: I fired the AI... and hired myself as the artist. The bad news is that the extended demo is delayed. After The Golden Age is now 100% AI-free. Here's an AI placeholder vs. what I've managed to do so far with this unfinished room. Pats on the back are officially being accepted.

When you wake up with a new idea for the adventure game you're developing, and the first thing you see when you open your eyes is your Guybrush and Elaine bedsheets, followed by your dogs (Ozzy and LeChuck), you start to wonder if you might be just a little too obsessed with adventure games. 😅

I just got back from watching Nolan's The Odyssey, and one line has been stuck in my head: «"What a man wants most is what he can't have. And what he can't have most is what he already had and lost."» Maybe that's why I felt compelled to make a point and click adventure. 🤔 Hell of a director.

Wow, the improvement is impressive. I'd love to reach that level, but my artistic skills are still a long way off, and my fulltime job leaves little time to improve.
