Today's link is a classic, lightyear.fm. This site helps the earthbound user understand their location in our galaxy. "Radio broadcasts leave Earth at the speed of light. Scroll away from Earth and hear how far the biggest hits of the past have traveled."

Today's link is emojirain.lol. It was created by @jaredshort.com as a fun Bluesky firehose project. Emojis from each message are wrapped inside a raindrop, falling to the ground. Click a raindrop to see the message on Bluesky. All of the code is in the index.html file!

Today's link is YTCH.xyz. It asks the question "what if YouTube had real channels?" It is a YouTube player website with the #UX of classic television. It has a TV remote control and 39 channels. You can’t pause, rewind, or skip - yet, it’s very appealing. Also, it's free with no ads!

A TV station user interface on top of a cartoon. The channel is #18. There are two cartoon characters sitting on a plaid couch. A large pink character, and a small aquamarine colored character.

Their plan is like Discord Nitro where you pay for extra features. The ones I've heard about so far are higher video quality and customizable profiles pages.

Yup, about a 5 minute relay delay for me right now.

FYI, the creator is also familiar with the lost art of keyboard shortcuts!

Yes, that is the plan based on their most recent blog post about it, and I am all for it. They are smart to avoid pay for post promotion and advertising. Both of those options put pressure on the ideal UX. I can't wait to see their custom profile UI. That must be a really fun feature to work on!

Hi Bsky team! Great job on everything! Just curious if you could share the mobile vs. desktop user percentages. Inquiring nerds want to know!
