Ok sorry for the long rant I just felt like yapping bc I like going down memory lane

I was never that into romances but I remember being really into this one. I thought it was a nice slow-ish love story that wasn’t really really that far fetched, so I guess that’s why I liked it? DON’T LOVE THE FUTURE STATE OF THE (POTENTIAL?) FRIEND AND DAUGHTER ROMANCE THO—

NANA is a story I feel like I love more and more as I grow older. As a young girl I was so upset by the anime ending but as a woman now I understand the difficulty. That and I think it was such a nice story of what I consider to be such a deep love between two people.

I didn’t watch any of the stuff that came after it bc I thought it was a perfect ending so—

Code Geass is another show I wish I could experience all over again for the first time The series style was unique and I thought the knightmare frames were unique too bc they weren’t as boxy as traditional gundam designs. I enjoyed the story and I really liked the ending

LMAO TYY sometimes I look at these and go wow I really am insane (good) and even as I improve I still see these as accomplishments q v q

啊麥: 🍎 a sloptart @conxam.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

The plot back then bc they kept running the same 5 episodes whenever I’d be at my grandmas house bc I didn’t have cable

I know Gundam Wing isn’t the most popular Gundam series but I remember seeing it a lot growing up and loving it. It spawned my love for mechas and I think I let out a scream when I saw the 30th anniversary video and I really should watch this again as an adult bc I never really got to watch it for

啊麥: 🍎 a sloptart @conxam.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Reborn I’m pretty sure fueled mine and every other artist my ages obsession with Mafia AUs and you can clearly see I have not outgrown it bc I’m so heavily motivated all the time for my and my friends OC mafia verse. I’ll probably be drawing this stuff until the day I expire.

What can I say about FMA:B other than watch it if you haven’t 🫵 I will ride or die for this show. I don’t think I’ve experienced another one with such solid story telling and world building. If I could I’d like to experience it all over again for the first time.

啊麥: 🍎 a sloptart @conxam.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I’m gonna say this about pretty much all of them but I still love D. Gray Man My art style is heavily influenced by this series and I just loved everything about it (except now I’m totally lost on the new arc) I loved the series enough to draw a print of every single character that ever appeared

啊麥: 🍎 a sloptart @conxam.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I still have so much love for Eden of the East bc of how each Seleção defined “saving Japan.” It gave me a lot more perspective and I liked the series so much I made my very first con print of it. But you would have had to watch the series and all the movies to see all the characters

110

啊麥: 🍎 a sloptart @conxam.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

OK BUT LISTEN I fully know I superimposed Nico onto Makoto so it is 100% the reason I went absolutely nuts over him

010

啊麥: 🍎 a sloptart @conxam.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

And tbh I owe the series a lot bc it was a Digimon rp group that I decided to randomly join that launched me into the art community and gave me the friends I have today

100

啊麥: 🍎 a sloptart @conxam.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I was always more of a Digimon person than Pokemon (no shade, still like both!) but Digimon Frontier was always so unique for me. I THINK THE ENG OP SLAPS DON’T COME AT ME You can see that I was heavily influenced by it in my design choices bsky.app/profile/conx...
