Here is GNATRAT 1 1986. A lot of comic companies trued to capitalize off of the Teenage Mutant Nija Turtles success. They made a comic that mimicked Daredevil. Another one I remember is Teenage Mutant Ninja Hampsters.
Comic Cover Description – "GNATRAT: The Dark Gnat Returns"
This comic book cover features a parody superhero character named Gnatrat, depicted in silhouette against a bright blue sky. A large lightning bolt cuts vertically through the left side of the image, illuminating the character's outline. The figure appears to be a rat with a cape, posed mid-leap or mid-flight, with exaggerated limbs and a small pair of glasses perched on its nose.

Eternals #1 Jul 1976. I wish I would have taken better care of this comic.
The Eternals #1 (1976) — Cover Description
Publisher / Trade Dress:
Across the top sits the classic Marvel Comics Group banner in bright yellow with red trim. Just beneath it, the dramatic tagline reads: “WHEN GODS WALK THE EARTH!” The issue is marked #1, dated July, priced at 25¢.

Main Artwork:
The centerpiece is a massive, ancient, stone‑like Space God head — unmistakably Kirby: angular lines, geometric carvings, glowing yellow eyes, and a looming, monolithic presence. It fills nearly the entire background, giving the sense of something impossibly old and impossibly powerful.

Foreground Characters:
Three human explorers stand before the giant head:

An older man in a brown jacket, looking up in awe.

A woman beside him, also staring upward.

A younger man in the front, pointing dramatically toward the sky.

Their posture and expressions sell the scale — they look tiny compared to the cosmic figure behind them.

Speech Balloons:
The explorers deliver the hook:

“We’ve found it — the tomb of the SPACE GODS!”

“And they’re not dead! Look to the stars! THE GODS ARE COMING BACK!”

Background Details:
Behind the pointing man, a cosmic burst of yellow energy streaks upward into the sky — a classic Kirby crackle effect — hinting that something is awakening.

Bottom Banner:
A bright yellow box announces:
“FIRST ISSUE! The start of Jack Kirby’s long-awaited cosmic series!”

Overall Aesthetic:
Pure Kirby cosmic mythology — bold colors, monumental shapes, and that signature blend of sci‑fi grandeur and ancient mysticism. It’s one of the most iconic Bronze Age #1 covers.

Went to local comic store to get a short box and bought X-Men 2099, the first appearance of Skullfire/Timothoy Fitzgerald Oct 1993 for $1.
Cover Description — X‑Men 2099 #1
Main imagery:

A full team shot of the futuristic X‑Men, arranged in a dynamic, forward‑moving formation.

The characters are posed in mid‑action, each showing off their distinct powers or physical traits — bright energy effects, cybernetic enhancements, and bold futuristic costumes.

Above the team looms a large, red, monstrous creature with glowing eyes and an open, snarling mouth, giving the cover a sense of danger and urgency.

Color & style:

Heavy use of neon blues, reds, and yellows, typical of early‑90s Marvel sci‑fi aesthetics.

The background features a techno‑circuit pattern in blue, framing the central artwork and reinforcing the 2099 cyberpunk theme.

The overall composition is loud, energetic, and very “1990s Marvel.”

Trade dress & details:

Title: X‑MEN 2099 in large metallic lettering across the top.

Issue: #1

Price: $1.75 US / $2.25 CAN / £1.30 UK

Date: October

Label: Direct Edition

Artist signatures: Ron ’93 and Adam W. (Ron Lim & Adam Wylie)

Overall aesthetic:

A classic launch‑issue cover meant to introduce the new team with maximum impact — bold, crowded, colorful, and unmistakably futuristic.

It captures Marvel’s early‑90s vision of a cyberpunk future and the next generation of mutants.

The New Teen Titans Annual #1 1982. Another comic book that I wish I was around to take care of.
Overall layout:
A classic early‑80s DC action cover bursting with motion and color. The Titans are mid‑battle, flying, leaping, and attacking across the page in a chaotic, high‑energy composition.

Top trade dress:

Large red DC bullet logo with stars.

“ANNUAL” in huge block letters across the top.

Title: THE NEW TEEN TITANS in bright yellow with red outline.

Issue info: No. 1 – 1982 – $1.00

Comics Code Authority seal on the right.

Main artwork:

Robin is front‑and‑center, diving forward with his staff raised, cape flaring behind him.

Starfire blasts energy bolts while flying, her hair flowing in a fiery arc.

Raven hovers with her cloak spread, projecting her soul‑self.

Kid Flash is shown in a blur of speed lines.

Changeling (Beast Boy) appears mid‑transformation, lunging as a green creature.

Wonder Girl is charging in with her lasso and bracers ready.

The team is surrounded by multiple enemies—armored, monstrous, and alien—creating a full battle tableau.

Color & style:
Bright, saturated Bronze‑Age palette with heavy motion lines and dramatic poses. The cover is dense with figures, giving it a “full war scene” feel typical of George Pérez’s Titans era.

Captain America and the Falcon Aug 1978. Too bad this one got really messed up.
Captain America and the Falcon #188 — Cover Description

Overall Layout
A classic 1970s Marvel Comics Group cover with bold colors, dramatic action, and heavy motion lines. The top banner features the familiar Marvel Comics Group strip with small headshots of Captain America and Falcon flanking the title.

Title & Issue Details
Series: Captain America and the Falcon

Issue: #188

Date: August

Price: 25¢

Publisher: Marvel Comics Group

The main logo is large, bright, and centered across the top, with “and the Falcon” beneath it in a smaller but still prominent font.

Main Artwork
The scene is a high‑intensity, mid‑battle moment:

Captain America is front and center, recoiling in pain as a villain grabs him.

The attacker is a green‑suited villain with:

Yellow gloves and boots

A yellow belt

A green mask

Glowing red-hot hands, radiating heat and energy

The villain is gripping Cap’s arm and shoulder, burning through Cap’s uniform with visible scorch marks and red energy bursts.

Dialogue Balloons
The villain taunts Cap with two dramatic lines:

“Avenger, my hands can burn thru solid steel…”

“—which is nothing compared to what they’ll do to you!”

Classic Bronze Age melodrama — loud, threatening, and perfectly over-the-top.

Bottom Feature Box
A yellow circular burst in the lower left corner reads:

“The Assault of the Alchemoid!”

This identifies the villain and sets the tone for the issue’s conflict.

Captain America #229 Jan 1979.
Captain America #229 — Cover Description
The cover is a classic late‑70s Marvel action scene bursting with energy and color.

Central Figure
Captain America dominates the center of the cover.

He’s in full motion, shield raised defensively as he braces against multiple attackers.

His pose is dynamic — leaning forward, shield angled, ready to counterstrike.

Surrounding Characters
The cover spotlights the return of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Super-Agents, each attacking Cap from a different angle:

Marvel Man — flying in from the upper left, arms extended.

Blue Streak — racing in with speed lines trailing behind him.

The Vamp — lunging from the right side.

Texas Twister — swirling in with a tornado-like motion effect.

Each character is drawn mid‑attack, creating a chaotic, multi-directional battle around Cap.

Marvel Comics Group banner across the top.

The Savage Submariner #comicbooks #72 Sep 1974. I was never into the Submariner that much, but I would buy any comic book that I had not read when I was seven. This was the final issue.
Key elements: The cover depicts Namor in a dramatic confrontation with the Slime Thing, reflecting the issue’s central battle. The panel also subtly includes Aquaman’s hand, acknowledging the crossover.

Master of Kung Fu #86 #comicbooks Mar 1980. I think this is the only one of this comic book that I ever bought.
Shang‑Chi is the central figure, illustrated by Mike Zeck, who penciled and inked the cover.

The cover belongs to the storyline “Warriors of the Golden Dawn!”, Part 4: The Phoenix and the Dragon. This strongly suggests a dramatic confrontation scene, typical of Zeck’s run.

Characters involved in the issue include Fu Manchu (Zheng Zu), Black Jack Tarr, Clive Reston, Fah Lo Suee, and others — and the cover is known to depict Shang‑Chi and Black Jack Tarr facing Fu Manchu.

Marvel Two-In-One #67 #Comicbooks The Thing vs. Hyperion Sep 1980.
Central Focus:
The Thing (Ben Grimm) and Hyperion are the main figures, engaged in a full‑on physical clash. Their poses are dynamic and forceful, emphasizing raw strength.

Hyperion:
Depicted as a powerful, imposing figure—flying or lunging toward The Thing with aggressive energy.

The Thing:
Braced for impact, mid‑battle stance, classic rocky orange form emphasized.

Thundra:
Positioned on the ground, watching the confrontation. She is not fighting, but her presence signals her importance to the story.

Tone & Style:
Typical of early‑1980s Marvel covers: bold action, bright colors, dramatic composition, and a sense of explosive conflict.

Story Tagline:
The issue’s title is “Passport to Oblivion!”, which often appears on the cover.

Marvel Spotlight on Star-Lord #6 May 1980, first appearance of Star-Lord. Wish I would have taken care of this better as a kid. I am also including one of the back cover #comicbooks items I wish I would have bought.
Marvel Spotlight on Star-Lord 6:

Star‑Lord is front and center, flying toward the viewer in a dynamic action pose.

He’s wearing his classic early costume:

Blue jumpsuit with yellow trim

Red helmet with the circular eye lenses

Yellow jet‑pack and glowing boots that leave a trail of energy behind him

The back cover is a full‑page vintage advertisement for a “100 Pc. Toy Soldier Set” priced at $1.98. The ad is printed in bright, saturated colors and styled like classic 1970s–1980s mail‑order comic ads.

Main Artwork
The top half shows a large illustrated battle scene:

Green plastic toy soldiers advancing across a beach.

Tanks, jeeps, artillery cannons, and trucks scattered across the battlefield.

Warships offshore firing shells.

Jet planes and bombers flying overhead.

Explosions and smoke throughout the scene.

The art is dramatic and chaotic, meant to excite kids about the toy set.

Amazing Adventures #9 with Blackbolt and the Inhumans fighting Magneto, Nov 1971.
Cover Theme and Story Context
The cover reflects the central plot of the issue: Black Bolt and the Inhumans — Medusa, Gorgon, and Karnak — are on the run after the disappearance of their leader, Black Bolt. They are pursued by a group of mutants led by Magneto, who has captured Black Bolt and intends to use him to join his mutant army

. The cover’s imagery likely shows the Inhumans in a tense, high-stakes moment, possibly mid-confrontation with Magneto’s forces or on the verge of entering his underground lair.

Teen Titans Annual #3 1984. I have all four parts of the Judas Contract; I remember it being a good story.
The cover of Tales of the Teen Titans Annual #3, published in July 1984, is a textless, full-page image created by George Pérez. It features the Teen Titans in a dramatic, high-energy pose, with Nightwing and Jericho at the center, flanked by other members of the team. The artwork is rendered in Pérez’s signature dynamic style — sharp linework, bold inking, and a sense of motion that reflects the action-packed “The Judas Contract: Book Four – Finale!”
