I use the gold color of the butterfly and make an add layer, airbrushing over the butterfly, and their faces.

Next, with an air brush, I add a slight purple color burn around the bottom and left side.

I add a trail of sparkles to the butterfly. Then I duplicate the layer, change it to add mode, and blur it some.

Now I put all my layers into a folder, duplicate the folder, flatten one of them, and blur it slightly. Then I turn down the opacity to around 30%.

Then I add color to the line art, coloring directly onto it using alpha lock. No clipping layers!! We live on the edge here ahaha

Then I color the cravats!! How fancy, how regal, how gorgeous! Lion's especially I've decided is most gorgeous as an iredescent color. I also color his pink cloth!!

Then I color the clothes. I use an airbrush to lighten up areas, sort of like rim light? I have no real idea what I'm doing when I do it, I just go with what looks good to me.

I then erase any hair that covers the eyes before redrawing the blue color again with a brush at 50% opacity This is hard to explain, so view this for reference.

Then I do the hair. I do all my shadows and highlights directly on the hair layer, like a fool. After coloring the hair, I select the opacity of the hair layer and create a layer underneath the hair colors and fill it with a bright blue. Then I clip my hair layer to it, and erase bits of the blue.

Next I fill in the lashes, neck shadows, and any open mouths. I add a slight blue gradient to it, and a low opacity eye color streak clipped to the lashes.

I color the irises, again all on one layer. The airbrush at the top of the irises is a (clipped) white add layer mode with an opacity of around 30%.

Then I color the scleras and any teeth that are showing. I do my shadows on the same layer. I also add my little nose highlight thing?? Idk what to call it.

Then I fill in the entire thing with a base color. It's usually a skin tone, and I do the shadows directly on the skin layer itself because I am stupid. The only brushes I ever use are dip pen hard, airbrush (triangle), and the blur tool!

Then I do the line work. I usually do it all on one layer, and I never use vector layers.

I draw a sketch, usually with a stylus, but sometimes my fingers. (This sketch is a bit botched because I adjusted things with the lasso tool after lining Lion.)
