He didn’t just make film, he made worlds. Dream logic. Dread. Beauty. Humor that curdled into something darker. He taught us that the familiar can be haunted, and that the truth doesn’t always arrive in a straight line. #DavidLynch #Film

Watching The Prestige and realizing it’s basically the Alfred Cinematic Universe: Caine is Alfred. Bale plays Alfred Borden, then becomes Batman. Serkis plays Tesla’s assistant… and then becomes another Alfred. Coincidence? Or cinematic sleight of hand? #ThePresige #Batman #ChristopherNolan #Film

In America you drop your kid off at school, get your brains blown out on the ride home, then the Vice President drops everything for a week to call you a terrorist, to slander your family, to protect the circumstances that led to your death so they can do it again. It is government by Alex Jones.

There’s a quiet war against the things that make us human. Empathy is dismissed. Art is devalued. Men are told to toughen up or shut up. But I was made to feel. That is my quiet rebellion. In a world growing harder, I still choose to feel. This year, I’ll read more fiction. #2026Vow #Empathy

Never did an intro post, so here goes. I walk trails when I can, some in the woods, some in Skyrim. I post music that sticks with me, lines from books I don’t want to forget, and thoughts I’m still figuring out. Just making space for the things I care about. #NowPlaying #Books #Journaling #Cinema

While reading tonight, I underlined a passage that reminded me of something I’ve felt more than once in my life. I’ve felt it while standing at the edge of the ocean many times. And most recently, I felt it while visiting Yellowstone National Park.

A Christmas Carol (1999) I watched two different versions of A Christmas Carol tonight, the 1999 adaptation and the one from 1984. The 1999 version really stirred something in me. It felt like this one captured the spirit of inner change more deeply than the others. #AChristmasCarol #PatrickStewart

How fitting would it be for these two to be air-lifted by actual aliens? Making Holidays Happy Again. Ho-Ho-Ho.

Pandora And The Flying Dutchman (1951) “It’s not me as I am at all, it’s what I’d like to be.” Ava Gardner on seeing the touched up version of the painting on the Flying Dutchman. #film #movies #AvaGardner #PandoraAndTheFlyingDutchman

One of my favorites. Even as an adult, I can still see the magic in the ocean.
