He has learned to care for himself, he has coping mechanisms, exercises, medications, etc., that helps him! Mental health isn't curable ofc and sometimes he can shift/be pulled back to The Despair. But he now knows how to pull himself back out again <3

I love Jonathan sm he deserves more art <3 He's a paranormal hunter that has been cursed after being dragged into a realm known as "The Despair". He's a representation of how mental health can take you down if left unchecked, it can alter you, and change your life. Jon struggles with a lot BUT

Happy spooky month btw!!! I love more excuses to dabble in more horror/dark themed art <3 My poor guy Jonathan shifting #art #digitalart #oc #ocsky #horror

Three headshots of the same character. The first one he is normal, his head tilted down. The second he begins to shift, a mouth cuts through the middle of his face, spikes coming out of the left side of his face, a look of horror on his face. The third that mouth cuts open wider, becoming a more functional mouth, cutting all the way down his neck. Spikes are on both sides of his face now - his head tilted up and his eyes roll back.

What Crimson said 100%!!! My therapist told me when I was in my rut that rest WILL increase my productivity! That feeling of wanting to draw again is a huge step- as she told me not to go right back to art, but sit and enjoy that feeling, because it will blossom back into drawing again 🥰💕💕💕

Been experimenting with a more comicbook-esc art style more and more as it's just fun for me to do <3 It's messy, griddy and just kinda relaxing AH This one was so fun- I love poor Bryce and his past that haunts him </3 Song - Black Mirror by RIP Kenny #art #oc #ocsky #illustration

Black and white illustration of my character Bryce walking past a mirror and seeing a reflection of his old self. His body is hunched a bit, his expression worried as he looks towards his reflection whose red eyes are locked on the viewer, holding an axe.

The lyrics on the wall is from the song Black Mirror by RIP Kenny. It reads "Stare into me, your black mirror of misery. I can make you complete. Deny your greed, I can see everything you are, the cracks run deep. Take a look, I'll make you believe, the lie you lead."

Mini fun portraits of some of my favorite dogs I work with so far <3 I plan to draw more over time!! #dogs #art #illustration #digitalart

Mini portrait of a golden retriever named Molly, she’s an old girl and a big sweety, her face has gotten really white and her nose is a cute pink

Mini portrait of a French bulldog named Aka, she has a little snaggle tooth and eyebrows that I think is silly

LRP Aiden lore but literally when I made my first ever oc (Aiden Savior), he was my trans awakening - something about that name felt so right to me And it’s all Aiden Pearce’s fault I’ve had a poster of him in my room since 2013 and he’s literally the inspiring reason I chose the name Aiden

I came across how I’d already reworked this art once to fit the current render. Why not do it again? When you make changes step by step, it feels like you’re standing still, and that’s a great way to look back and see what’s changed over a long period of time. So.. Aiden Pearce

Painting the same butterfly at age 20 and 30. Never give up on your art!

Two digital paintings of the same large yellow-and-black tiger swallowtail butterfly. The one in the upper left is labeled "2016." It has a more painterly style with some questionable proportions and anatomy. The one on the bottom right is labeled "2026" and is far more realistic, to the point it looks as though it might come to life and flit off the page at any moment. It's hard to believe I've only been a scientific illustrator for ten years, though that really was a whole lifetime ago. Thank you HRT for letting me live this long. :)

Ok, getting back on track with #spaceshiptember, but in no particular order. This fancy, red destroyer carries four 75m long, tungsten rods which it drops from orbit on an (unfortunate) target, usually all at once, in a close cluster formation.

I keep debating on changing Aurora's design a bit, I even made a new character to avoid completely overhauling her cause I felt like I was going TOO far off...but I dunno. When I found these nail art for inspo, I thought I'd test the waters with them and her and see. still not 100% but who knows???

Aurora Starbinder with a new design look. She has purple and blue colors on the top of her hair and white underneath. She's wearing a light blue shawl and a dark dress to resemble both the nail art and the outfit I picked to test as a warm up.

🏜️Jonah Astarte🌵 His ref is finally done oog I started this before Art Fight and finally had the energy to finish 😭 It’s gonna get crushed to hell and back so closeups in comments!! <3 #art #oc #ocsky #digitalart

Reference sheet of a humanoid being named Jonah. It consists of 3 full bodies, and 7 headshots, with an extra item- his necklace of a tooth fragment.
The first two full bodies he’s naked, revealing his yellow and blue patterning. His feet resemble that of a camel with toe claws that are brown. He has a small tail! His headshots display makeup he has, a dark mask that drips down. His right ear is pierced and contains a fishhook. His clothed full body he wears baggy clothes that are brown in color. A robe covering his shirt and undershirt as he walks with a gun.

Notes from left to right.
“Flirty Bastard”, “Very long eyelashes”, “Makeup can be more/less drippy”, “Small tail”, “Leg satchel holds ammo”, “Serious when he WANTS to be, not when he NEEDS to”, “Tooth fragment from ‘The Mother’ he wears as a necklace”, “Threat display* -Large mouth -Cuttlefish-like pupils *He’s not scary :(“, “Ears are expressive!”, “Sashimiii~! JONAH! Boyfriends <3”, Jonah Astarte He/him 5’5”

Last drawing date I had with my boyfriend went crazy style and I pumped out sm I plan to finish these at some point <3 All inspired by different songs (included in alt-text!) #art #oc #ocsky #illustration #digitalart #sketch

"WHO WILL SAVE YOU NOW?!??!" - Quote from Who Will Save You Now by SWARM. Digital sketch of my character Axis levitating Thomas between his hands. Axis has 5 eyes with black scalaras, massive horns on his head and down his body. His body is armored with his hands being fleshy - his fingers containing long sharp nails. His smile is full of shark-like teeth. Thomas floats in the middle of the canvas between his hands, his arms and legs pointing down as his body is curved up. His hair and sash, along with his clothing is also being pulled up. A look of fear in his eyes.

"Why do I love you more than I love myself? Love you the way I'll never love me... x3" - Quote from Fortress by Unlike Pluto
A digital sketch of two male characters who are cyborgs. The larger male behind is holding up the arms of the foreground character. His body is large, muscular and mostly metal minus most of his face and his torso. His ice blue eyes gaze towards the viewer, below them are 4 lights on each side.
The man in the front is on his knees, his head slouched and his eyes closed. His arms, most of his neck and some of his head contain metal, but the rest of his body is flesh. A tube runs from the side of his head behind him.

Inspired by STARSET's p a r a d 0 x 1 c - "THIS CAN'T EXIST".
A digital sketch of a large humanoid being devouring a town as people are running away. The large being has cybernetic knight armor, his helmet glowing red where his eyes are and his mouth open to a black hole. His arms are held out and his back is arched, light emitting from the sides of his body. Below him is a medieval-like town in ruins as he sucks is up, as well as the surrounding trees.
The characters closest to the foreground display looks of fear and anguish as they run towards of screen - many dots in the far back indicating more people who are actively escaping.
