Through Emerging Justice, we offer short-term scoping grants of maximum £50,000 for up to 12 months. These grants are for exploring or testing ideas and we would not expect you to start using the law as part of this work.

The new Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance comes into force in England on 1 September 2026. We are concerned about the impact it could have on trans and non-binary pupils and the ability of schools to provide genuinely inclusive environments. 2/4

Ways you can take action:

1. Respond to the consultation - If you work in Schools in England, Wales or Scotland, you have until the 30th September at 11:59pm to respond to the EHRC technical guidance for Schools.

2. Explore and share inclusive resources - Learn more by reading the guidance, model policies and practical resources created by organisations including TNB Education, GIRES and Pride in Education.

3. Write to your MP - You can express concerns about the impact on trans and non-binary young people to your MP.

4. Share the campaign - Spread the campaign far and wide with others by using the hashtag #SupportiveSchools.
