I started climbing again earlier this year, and our girls absolutely love it, so we just built a rock wall at home! Was a fun weekend project and the inspectors said we did a great job 😂 Hardest part was drilling the ~150 holes per board for the t-nuts.

Bare 4 feet by 4 feet plywood boards with holes drilled in a triangle pattern for climbing holds to install into.

Updated the simulation to use a quadtree for a nice bump in performance! Been a bit addicting tweaking the attraction values and seeing what shapes come out 🦠

Been having a ton of fun working on a p5 implementation of particle life. Focus today was on performance and was able to 10x the number of particles it can render w/o dropping frames. Going to keep experimenting with behavior and fix some issues like the clustering

Oh, interesting! Felt like seeing such similar shades right after each other was throwing me off. Wonder if it'd be more accurate to show values more randomly near the boundary and average the responses

*kylo ren screaming more gif* Might revisit this in the future and parameterize everything so it's easy to create N groups, but had fun messing around with it. Starting on a bigger project inspired by Heavy Weapon next 🪖

Neva is another amazing example of games as art. Gorgeous art and music just like Gris. Also pleasantly surprised by the amount of additional depth to the gameplay.

Been learning about game dev over the last year and wrote up a mini retro (trying to break in the portfolio design). www.connorlindsey.dev/writing/lear... Had a lot of fun and really excited to build a more substantial 'first' game next (and fingers crossed launch on Steam)!
