I'm gonna replace the strap on my Kamen Rider My-th driver so it'll fit me, it should be really easy to do but the irrational paranoid part of my brain is like "what if you slip up and the whole thing explodes"

Either Sega are incredibly out of touch with what the Sonic fanbase is, like more than usual, or this is some 4D chess move to try and confine the whackjobs of the Sonic fanbase (all of us) into one space so the madness is at least contained, either way it's gonna be funny to watch

Connor_1709 @connor-1709.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I need to rewatch Kamen Rider Ex-aid this year, it was my first Kamen Rider season and it makes me feel really old to know that it's been a decade since it aired, like I was in high school when it was on, now I'm a grown ass adult it's wild to think about

000

Connor_1709 @connor-1709.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I tried playing the demo for the new Hellraiser game. I haven't seen any of the movies so I don't know if it'll be fun for fans of them but to be honest it really didn't appeal to me. It just kinda feels like a generic first person horror game that could have come out a decade ago

000

Connor_1709 @connor-1709.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

I still enjoyed Zeztz a lot but I think part of my initial love for it was the fact that it was the first KR season officially available in the west while it was airing and the fact that I skipped Gavv so it had been a while since I watched a KR season fully and I was getting back into it

011

Connor_1709 @connor-1709.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

like in 4 episodes My-th has done a better job at characterising around 10 characters (main and secondary) than Zeztz was able to do with around 7 main characters in it's first half

Connor_1709 @connor-1709.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Kamen Rider My-th's first 4 episodes have made me realise just how, meh Zeztz was

Like I love that Jessie, Biggs and wedge get more development, but the fact that we get to see Sephiroth, in full, without even obscuring his face, before Cloud even gets to the sector 7 slums for the first time genuinely drives me nuts because it just takes away from what made him great in the OG

Connor_1709 @connor-1709.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

It mostly boils down to the fact that FF7 is so popular that most people were spoiled on it before they and so they don't feel the need to hide the big twists as much, and that Square can't commit to doing either a 1 to 1 remake or a whole new thing that changes things up from the original

100

Connor_1709 @connor-1709.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

I started replaying FF7 Remake, and it immediately reminded me how I love some of the changes and additions they've made with the remake trilogy and absolutely despise some of the others it's nuts

Well you do like Kaman Rider so it checks out (says the man with a nearly complete DX Zeztz collection)

110

Connor_1709 @connor-1709.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

it was cheap and lazy when the collectors editions just came with a download code, this is just a straight up scam

100

Connor_1709 @connor-1709.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

like there are parts in the game that look almost identical to places I pass by pretty much every day it's wild to see

It's a real shame that Silent Hill Townfall's gameplay doesn't appeal to me because from what I've seen of friends playing it, it absolutely nails the aesthetic of a small town in Scotland, it shouldn't be surprising since the devs are based in Glasgow but still it's fantastic

100

Connor_1709 @connor-1709.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

At least it makes me feel useful, although the fact that I saw that "Does Scotland have UFOs" question first thing when I woke up was pretty nuts lmao

I wanna know who at Nintendo cooked so hard with the Kirby Air Riders story, like its wild even by Kirby standards, and I haven't even gotten the true ending yet, also I wonder if that same person was the one who came up with the normal final boss being a Metal Gear fight

000

Connor_1709 @connor-1709.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

I'm about 5 minutes into my first episode of Baki and this shit has baffled me more than all of Jojo's what the actual fuck

001

Connor_1709 @connor-1709.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

yeah it's not great, I'm still having a lot of fun with it but it's certainly not worth full price, although I do think a lot of the outrage toward it is getting blown out of proportion a bit because everyone's justifiably pissed off with Sony

010

Connor_1709 @connor-1709.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

I played the network tests for Splatoon 2 and 3 and it just wasn't my thing but for some reason making a looter shooter out of it just made it click for me, and I don't even like looter shooters

I'm not a big horror guy but I honestly love when a game that's mostly action has a section that dives into horror, like when you're fighting monsters with no problem the game decides to show just how nightmarish the whole situation is for normal people and put it into perspective for you

I really wanna try Orbitals because it looks like a really fun retro anime game but idk if any of my friends would wanna play it and even then managing to get our free time to match up is pretty hard

Connor_1709 @connor-1709.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

The best and worst part about Kamen Rider seasons starting in the same month as my birthday is that I can always get the new driver as a birthday present to myself and getting it usually means I end up getting way more of the toys than I initially intend to lol

001

Connor_1709 @connor-1709.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

I've been seeing videos of the Kamen Rider My-th driver and I seriously just need my to arrive already because it's so goddamn cool I swear
