Rather than twitching around and ranting to the choir on SM, I tried to call my senator and representative in DC to voice my opposition to Musk (as a starter) and several nominees. Each time, my calls didn't go through and my hunch is that there are a LOT of calls being made this morning.

You will do readings where no one shows up. You will set up at events and sell no books. Rejection will show up in your inbox again and again. You will say “I wrote a book!” and folks will stay quiet or say “Cool!” and then not buy it. It’s all good. Part of the gig. KEEP AT IT.
