I know I need to start getting these drawings finished, I have way too many started and not enough finished. So, this is my weekend goal. Get this one transferred to watercolor paper, then finalize the line work. #art #cat #catart #catlovers

Some random #arting from my #sketchbooks. Lately I feel like the eraser end of a pencil that been ground down to the metal. Work has been crazy, most days when i get home, I'm too exhausted to do much more than zone out or sleep. #art #drawings #worksinprogress #wip #iamanexhaustedpigeon

I know I have too many things started and never enough time to complete any of them. It's really frustrating. With that being said, I'm *still* working on this. I think I've nailed Stuart's face, now I need to get Dominic's face right. #cats #digitalsketch #mainecoon #tuxedo #art #arting

Stuart's adventure today was a trip to the #cardiologist. He loudly voiced his opinion 1.5 hrs there & back. He has non-specific #Cardiomyopathy, his new meds: #Clopidogel (1/4 tablet / 24 hrs) & the cardiologist said she thinks we should be ok for the dental. #cat #mainecoon #felineheartdisease

There are days when I feel like the #dayjob is trying to kill me. These are photo props for #volunteerweek, this is only half of what I did today. Each foam board was cut into at least 4 separate objects, I cut a total of 25 boards. #workprojects #printshop #graphicdesign

I've been trying to redraw my original #sketch of the #wildthings, and I just see so many issues with the original #drawing right now that I can't just rework that digitally. So i'm starting over. #worksinprogress #pencil #pencildrawing #traditionalartist #wherethewildthingare #mauricesendak

The photo shows an open sketchbook containing a rough pencil layout of several stylized faces — the characters from where the wild things are. The sketches are arranged in a rectangular grid.

Next to the sketchbook is a tablet displaying the original sketch version of the same characters. Behind the tablet, a another tablet with a reference image of Carol.

After not looking at this one for nearly a year, I see so much that is wrong, it really frustrates me, I'm going to scan it and rework the underlying drawing. The real issue is that I don't have uninterrupted time to work on art like I used to. #art #alien #ripley #adultingsucks

This happened yesterday. Sunday when I was vacuuming, I noticed wet around the baseboards near where the water heater is. I guess it was time, the old one was about 13+, the tech said we were lucky that it lasted that long, usually it's 10yrs. #housedrama #waterheater #moneypit

So, the issue with my scanner isn't about the scanner, it's photoshop not recognizing the old 32-bit drivers, it's also probably windows too. The scanner is 20+ years old 12x17 flatbed, I can't afford to replace it right now, I just have to scan outside of photoshop. #artistproblems #oldtech

(pic of detail listing regarding my scanner)

So the issue with my scanner isn't about the scanner, it's photoshop not recognizing the 32-bit drivers, it's also probably windows too. Last time windows didn't recognize half of the scan settings, and the scanner is 20+ years old, I didn't get it new, husband rescued it from a previous job - they got new and were throwing all the old out.

I just have to scan outside of photoshop. I had an old version of vuescan that I ended up buying because the free version puts a big black diagonal watermark across the scan. It'll be a few years before I have the funds to get a new one, so I paid the fee to unlock it.

I'm glad it's not the scanner, because 12x17 flatbed, and I cannot afford to replace it right now, eventually I know I will have to.
