2-300 people a year were dying of overdoses in Glasgow 40 years ago, I don't remember the Labour council being blamed for it. Areas like Priesthill, the gorbals and Possil looked like the zombie apocalypse, the council just gaslit people handing out 1000s of decals saying "Glasgow's miles better"
