Baffles me that too many people have been fooled by the damn History channel to believe that humans just weren't capable of building the Egyptian pyramids. That it was aliens that built them. Even though there's plenty of archeological evidence of humans building them.

It became a partisan issue when oil companies lined up politicians' pockets with money to cast doubt on the existence of human-influenced climate change itself. That doubt has been so harmful to so much evidence-based science in the eyes of the public overall. It's horrifying.
