#toh #theowlhouse + faces of grief // "The star told him they could show him the way home. A new home. A much better home. One free of pain. And hurt. And sorrow. And shame."

Artwork depicting King Clawthorne and The Collector from the series The Owl House, reimagined as Rosemary and "Bon" from The Walten Files.
Against a fogged up edited background picture of one of the series´s many forest shots, King wears a polka dot pattern dark green dress, with white collar, lining on the sleeves and a white belt cinching the waist, he is looking in disbelief towards Collector, his arm stretched towards their chest and the other upwards but not knowing where to reach, his fur is dark and wavy and slightly fluffed up.
Collector hunches over him playfully, their hair in white loose curls behind a mask that looks like his shadow form, half dark blue and half grey blue in crescent shape, stars adorning the dark part, wearing a creepy smile. He wears a two toned tuxedo , with a dark indigo bowtie and white gloves, he holds onto King´s arm and wraps his fingers around his paw with one hand, as if pulling him in.

at the end are some quick doodles i added on bc i remembered there was writing about how home's eyes moved by crank, then a flat set variation to show how hypothetically this would all tie together when filmed. puppets are fun!

A 3 dimensional home prop with an operator cranking a crank on the side- when moved one way, the eyes move one way.

Home as a flat, raised set, semi transparent to show a crank being turned in the back to turn their eyes, to look at a Frank rod puppet, who is 'chasing' after a dangling butterfly puppet with his net. a camera is up at the bottom corned to show the angle it would be shot at to sell all this

on streamwe did some hypotheticals about how the welcome home character puppets would 'work'! (based purely on the descriptions from the neighborhood pages). frankie ( @friendfrankenstein.bsky.social ) made gorgeous pages laying out the suit types, and i contributed these doodles! Poses by Frankie!

A figure in a Barnaby Beagle (of welcome home) suit, with the head off. The suit is semi-transparent to show how the arm and leg fit inside, and they caper around jolly-ly on one foot.

The Barnaby suit lighting a pipe with real fire (i forgot to say this on show but the first 'full body' suit henson used used a fire effect too- a dragon with a fire gag!) as he walks on a ball! He looks down to the pipe as he lights it.

The Poppy suit reaching for a tray of cookies, transparent to show the operator inside, hand at the beak, hand in the wing. One thing I didn't draw here bc I only found out about it after the fact is that suits like this often use a counterbalance rig for the other arm so it doesn't hang dead, like the left one is here! So when one arm moves down, the empty one moves up, etc. Whoops!

The Poppy suit handler reaching a script, wearing only the tights and feet, Caroll Spinney style

people keep saying Ed Sheeran is Irish (he is a quarter Irish) when he has clearly been so depoliticized that "being Irish" doesn't mean anything to him anymore. so seeing an actually Irish band quit on him over Palestine is both satisfying and telling--Irish-Palestinian solidarity is undefeated.

They were really really cute in the new darling broadcast, hearing them all giggly was so sweet.... #welcomehome

Art of Frank Frankly from Welcome Home.
Frank is smiling wide, their eyes closed. He is cupping his neck with one hand and is waving the other hand coyly. They are colored with bright yellows and oranges. There are small hearts around them.

Art of Frank Frankly from Welcome Home.
There are two drawings of him, sequentially. The first Frank has a surprised expression, like he's realizing something. One arm is crossed over their chest and the other is raised in front of their shoulder. The second Frank is bent over on himself slightly. He is laughing. They are trying to cover their mouth with one hand, while the other hand rests in front of their chest.
The colors consist of bright oranges and yellows.

Introducing my new polycule Wally x "Bon" x Gaster do we like it

A drawing of Wally Darling from Welcome Home, spirit "Bon" from The Walten Files, and Gaster from Undertale/Deltarune.
All 3 of them are holding telephones, and talking into them happily. Wally is twirling the phone cord around his finger. "Bon" is holding his phone upside down by the cord. Gaster is holding his phone below his face.
The phone cords meet to form a heart in the center. In the middle of the heart, it says "Are we connected?"
There are hearts all around them.

WHOS EXCITED FOR THE EDDIE UPDATEEEEEEEEEE For the occasion I drew my damn Home gijinka. As is natural ( haven / puppet home )

Art of my Gijinka/humanization of Home from Welcome Home. He is tall and fat with a soft square face, with tall eyes and a square nose. His hair is in a curly bob.
Home is sitting on a cloth-covered couch, laying to one side. She is wearing a thin, flowing dress that sits off the shoulders. They are holding a red envelope with one hand. They have a strange expression and they are smiling softly. Their nose is bleeding.

Art of Noelle Holiday from Deltarune. Noelle is naked, but her torso is just her exposed skeleton. Her arms are slightly raised at her sides. Her expression is dazed and upset.
