A new gap analysis co-authored by COMSPOC’s Dan Oltrogge, Sal Alfano, and Dave Vallado examines SDA message standards and their application across Space Force and partner missions. The paper finds that overlapping data formats create delays, errors, compatibility issues, and added technical debt.

Give MAS a target orbit and your satellite's engine characteristics, and it generates a maneuver plan. What makes it operational is the constraints you can layer on — each one fed by another part of MAS: conjunction avoidance, EMI avoidance, and regional coverage.
