One thing I love about working at Bethesda is how much we care about making classic games accessible and available. Case in point: the legendary grandfather of FPS gaming, #Wolfenstein 3D, is now available in Germany for Xbox One and Series X|S, and also on Game Pass! 🔥

It’s really sad to see more and more once respectable gaming media outlets post the same clickbait content; - endless Steam player numbers - every quote from random ex-employees of big studios - opinions of random gamers on Reddit Instant turn-offs, all of them 🤷‍♂️

Somehow I received a lot of questions from colleagues about that I feel my out-of-office mail already answered 😅

I probably watched hundreds of dev diaries, and also participated in and wrote some myself. And I think this one about the Future of Marathon is one of the very best I've ever seen. Love the honesty, passion and reflection! Also, play #Marathon, it is an excellent videogame!

23. Call of Duty Modern Warfare III (PC) Trilogy replayed on Veteran, and all refreshed on the story before Modern Warfare 4 hits next month. Got upset all over again with THAT death. And I still maintain that the more freeform Open Combat Missions are a lot of fun in stealth!

Call of Duty is DOOMED! The #CallofDuty X #DOOM Event for Black Ops 7 and Warzone is now live, with both a free and paid event pass. If you get killed by someone wearing a Doomslayer skin on Nuketown 24/7, check if they happen to be called Com_Raven 😈

Sadly not, but I don’t think I anyone realistically expects that in this beautiful corporate world we live in.

I am just so happy, both for the community that gets to replay old content, and for the team that can once again work on the universe they love. Bungie and Destiny have such a special place in my heart, and Marathon is one of my favorite recent MP games. Per Audacia Ad Astra ❤️

Nature is healing, the pervs have returned to the Undercity! Jokes aside, I had a blast streaming WoW Forever today, a beautiful mix of nostalgia and new things to discover. Seems like Blizzard have yet another winner on their hands! ❤️

22. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (PC) Another very solid story with a like- and hateable cast. The Cartel warfare in Mexico was a nice change from the Middle-Eastern missions. Slightly marred by some of my least favorite CoD missions in recent memory and contrived crafting.

Having studied rhetoric, one of my biggest pet peeves are poor public speakers. That said: wow, the BlizzCon opening speech by Johanna Faries was easily one of the best things I have heard from an executive in ages! Warm, heartfelt, and full of real pride for her teams. Loved it!

So now indie devs get to have the insane interview takes that used to be the exclusive privilege of AAA corporate executives? It truly is a brave new world out there!

Question for my physical game collectors, since I am thinking about getting back into the hobby: What is your feelings on localized (e.g., German) games/ boxes versus English? Less "valuable" (not just monetarily, but as a collectible) than English games?

21. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 (PC) One of my favorite CoD campaigns, nailing that "ripped straight from the headlines" vibe. Complicated wars in the Middle-East and Russia committing war crimes? Surely not! Also, a genuinely great cast of characters, especially Farah.

Ed was in a fucked up position. He knew it. His typical apolitical stance was being challenged in a way it never had been before. He told me that the words
"Free Palestine" and the image of the Palestinian flag were hurtful to a lot of people he spoke with. I told him that if those words were more offensive than tens of thousands of Palestinian children being killed by Israel, then there was a fundamental disconnect between where those people stood and where I stood. But he couldn't get past his public facing, "I don't take sides."

20. Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced (PC/ XBOX) Exactly what I wanted, a great remake of a great game. The Caribbean setting really stands out in all the dark fantasy games these days, Edward is still lovable, and the cast of supporting characters is one of the best in AC.

19. DOOM: The Dark Ages | Revelations (PC) While I am biased, I think the critical reviews speak for themselves. Revelations is what happens when one of the most talented studios in gaming creates the culmination of a decade making amazing games. Just absolute FPS cinema! 🔥

18. Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls (PC) From the overall art direction to many of the reimagined costumes, this game just oozes ridiculous levels of style. Can't comment too much on how it compares to other fighting games since I am terrible at them, but loved it as a Marvel fan!
