Google really thought they could walk into Finland, flash some cash and cut down the forest. Not how it works in the civilized world

The left side has always been our Achilles heel, I fully maintain that if Ryan Giggs was born 30 miles further east we'd have 3 world cups by now. We should be throwing parades for a man who can finally do something down that side.

Do they not have anything better to do with their time than harass women for making cute decorations?

You can't have thought you had a point with that

Genuinely how the fuck else can you interpret this?

Legislators oppose it because they get backhanded "campaign donations" from the industry. Amongst the people, it's surprising how many people (but still a significant minority) think they'll just ... stay healthy and miss the fact that universal healthcare is cheaper for healthy and sick alike

"I don't have the exact number but I can assure you that everyone who was released early was tagged as per the policy we created for this." That would have been a perfectly acceptable response for me, his pathetic answer shows that he doesn't even know what the plan is

I genuinely can't even tell if this is satirical anymore

Lewandowski situation is feeling like a scam on FFP. Agree behind closed doors to not pay him for 3 years, then he sues you and you settle out of court for a massive amount, lawsuits don't count to FFP so you've officially paid him 0. City are probably fuming that they didn't think of it first.

A man named Shop Clerk and the Tottenham midfielder Son were charged with selling illegal drugs to Kratos' missus I think

"UK-Iranian dual national *who was* arrested over RAF Fairford investigation bailed." Or "UK-Iranian dual national bailed after arrest over RAF Fairford investigation" How can BBC writers be so poor at basic English grammar?

The world needs more tech waste generated through needless purchases no one can afford. Thank you for this cutting edge journalism

I did. There are 2 judges as my question suggested, one who allowed an AI deepfake to be shown in court leading to a 10 year sentence and one who quashed the 10 year sentence. The article does not, however, specify which judge Erstwild is commenting about.

James @comradeprime.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
Which one? The idiot who prejudiced a jury with an AI deepfake or the one who ordered he be resentenced?

There are only about a million chord progressions possible and many of them sound awful, it's ridiculous to claim you were copied because someone used a similar one to you

Well that's a bit of good news at least

"500 executions in Texas" - like Texas alone? There have been enough executions in Texas for one living person to have seen 500?
000
James @comradeprime.bsky.social · 02/10/2026
The article says he's attended 500 executions in Texas, so I'm guessing that's just one state's worth

Students blocked access to schools and teachers walked out in displays of solidarity over the unacceptable strain on students and staff in the French system. Damn the french know how to voice their displeasure

Burnham basically rigged it by having someone in a safe seat step down Farage ran against a bin and 2 self declared "loonies" Bandeoch and Davey were parachuted into rock solid seats Why is Polanski getting a grilling for taking on an actual challenge?

It was a unique game, Vancouver had less shots than Edmonton had goals throughout the first 2 periods. It was an interesting take on goaltending, almost like they were contorting their bodies to avoid touching the puck

They should save some of that money for when they get data breached and get sued into dust because the extortion potential in their data makes them a prime target

"Has any player...?" Does not mean "Give a comprehensive list of every single occasion it happened on in history", one example answers the question.

It's so unspeakably cruel to deny, deny, deny then delay at the last second. How does that not qualify as torture

Cleaning a knife I was already going to clean anyway is easier than cleaning a garlic press and a plastic garlic press cleaning tool
000
James @comradeprime.bsky.social · 30/09/2026
Because a knife works better and is far easier to clean. Garlic presses are, outside of a handful of accessibility applications, pointless

Italy match fixing? One title was assigned to Inter, one was left unassigned because it was too complex to determine a winner

When I see Pickford in an England shirt, he's the hero of a generation, in any other shirt he's a shite t-rex mackem prick

I forgot Woolfardisworthy where the "fardi" and "worth" are both silent but you pronounce an "e" that's not there
140
James @comradeprime.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
Sounds like England. The only way you know town name pronunciations is by growing up with them. What the fuck do you mean Loughborough only has 2 syllables? Who decided that Wycombe and Wickham are pronounced the same? Why does Bicester have a silent ce in the middle?

I was just riffing on the article's title for that, argue with them.

Exactly this! The Swiss love direct democracy when it comes to something tangible, the Brexit vote was essentially a mystery prize. If we'd have gone to Brussels and asked to negotiate exit terms before leaving and voted on that, I'd have a lot more respect for the result

James @comradeprime.bsky.social · 28/09/2026
Are you genuinely so stupid as to think I'm disagreeing with your point? Nothing I have said goes against this, as I've repeatedly said, people can have a voice but giving advice on it as the Guardian are is irresponsible. I don't know how to make it easier for you to understand.
000
James @comradeprime.bsky.social · 27/09/2026
Why are you repeating the same thing? It's still irresponsible to provide unsupported advice in a major international publication whether or not there is self-reporting.

I watched the match but I think I missed his "solid performance", must have been in the kitchen for that part
000
James @comradeprime.bsky.social · 27/09/2026
Exactly, no-one knows, so giving advice on it as if you're an expert is rash and dangerous
100
James @comradeprime.bsky.social · 27/09/2026
The second paragraph in your story details that no reliable data is available, that's where the article should end, the rest is pure conjecture

Every one of these is the guy gushing over the girl for 9 answers then saying "we both agreed there was no spark" in the 10th and the girl saying increasingly annoyed variants of "I was not interested, you ignored all of my interest when matching us up for this date" for all 10

Hedge funds and investor capital, they get their highest profits by keeping some properties empty to create scarcity allowing them to pump rents higher. Then all they need to do is evict the peasants living in them so they can double the price

The CDU say it's disgusting and fascist action by AfD, but they seem to have forgotten that CDU backed AfD's decision and it couldn't have happened without CDU's votes.
