We have game devs who can detect and diagnose the most visually subtle, technically complex rendering problems but don't have the good sense not to post a genAI image of a computer screen on the back of a monitor. If that doesn't say everything about where games are currently at as an art form...

When people accuse of others of doing good for attention (in this case, Greta Thunberg participating in the Gaza Freedom Flotilla), I can't help but think they are projecting their own childish motivations onto others.

In the 10 months after I had COVID, I developed cavities (bacterial) and ringworm (fungal), both for the first time in over a decade. I actually had a dental exam a month before contracting SARS-CoV-2 so I know I didn't have the cavities beforehand.

Excerpt from the article in the quoted post that reads, "A 2025 study published in the Lancet11 tracked more than 830 000 US veterans and found that even non-admitted patients who tested positive for covid-19 had higher rates of bacterial, viral, and fungal infections in the year that followed. It also found that patients admitted to hospital with covid-19 were more likely to develop sepsis than those admitted with influenza."

The ~6 months of low national COVID transmission has come to an end. The national average risk of contracting COVID is now considered "moderate," and in several states, it's "high" or "very high." Mask up (preferably w/ K/N95), do things outdoors when feasible, and vent/filter indoor air.
