To spoil it, after taking that screenshot, I did try run, rolled a 2 on the DEX check, took another scratch and had my pixels fall into a pile 🥲 Now that I think about it, calling the Wendigo's attack "Scratch" makes it sound a lot more harmless than it is 🤣

Don't worry! I'm fine! I'm still fine! Only 12 events to rewrite! Multiplied by all the character states! 🤪 Nah, tbh it's not that bad. Most of the fights could be ran away from already, but in the event, instead of in combat. I just have to reroute back 🥰 There are like 3 problematic fights...🤔

Was supposed to be a little feature adding day, but I added fleeing from combat... It works! 🥰 But now I have to decide what happens when you don't stop a Cleric assaulting a crypt with the Holy Relic YOU gave him. And about a dozen more unavoidable fights you can now run from 🤣 #indiedev #gamedev

It's fully custom built! Just vanilla JS 🥰 Part of the massive browser-based editor/diagnostic tool I've built for the game. For the Flow Maps, it parses the actual CSV-files of the game and draws the map 🥳

Had to create an alt account to test the videos to avoid spamming any more. The preview before posting shows the video working perfectly, yet after you post, bsky can turn everything imaginable to shit. Very cool. Turning the bitrate to a potato seemed to help a bit 🤣 Still far from perfect.

You're completely correct! In events, you're very unlikely to die. There are very few events that deal any direct damage. This current event doesn't actually deal any damage atm but I'll actually change it a bit. "Bare Your Neck" = Bitten, no damage Fail the "Run away"-check = Bitten + Damage etc.

It was worse than that 🫠 The only previous way to become a Vampire was actually from combat with a Vampire thrall. You'd have to be attacked often enough with a Blood Drain attack to actually proc the Bitten affliction, yet you'd somehow have to survive the fight 🤣
