Gummibär was originally going to be red, instead of green. Christian Schneider asked some kids "What's your favorite color"? A majority of them said green, so the design was changed to a green gummy bear. Can you believe what Gummibär would look like if he was red today?

Fun fact: I am A Gummy Bear was actually animated by 2 separate companies. Back in 2006, after the success of the 30-second Pop CGI promo, Pete Dodd commissioned several animation companies to make The Gummy Bear Song a fully animated MV. One of the companies to accept was 4K Animation GmBH.

The Wilfilm APS model. Notice how more saturated and vibrant this model is compared to the 4K Animation model. This model has a green mouth.

The 4K Animation model. Notice the reflective red mouth and desaturated pupil texture. The skin is also a darker green.
